I’m absolutely thrilled with my choice of accommodation in Colombo! The location is perfect—situated in a comfortable and safe area with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It’s also very close to the city center, making it super convenient. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. The rooms are excellent, well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. And the rooftop pool is simply amazing!

The hotel has a beautiful view of the ocean from the roof top pool as well as from many of the rooms. The staff were very welcoming, even though we arrived before 2pm they made an effort to get our room ready quickly and let us check in early, which was very nice after an over night flight. Its easy to walk from the hotel to a number of restaurants, casinos, as well as to some of the popular attractions in the city. The restaurant in the hotel has a nice buffet, as well as a rooftop bar. The hotel was so nice that when we passed through Colombo when we were leaving Sri Lanka, we stayed there again.

Hygienic: The quilt is a bit dirty, the toilet seat is not clean, and there is dust on the furniture.

Service: I have responded to the store's problem of small water, sent someone to see it, and said that the water valve was opened to the maximum, and the problem was still not solved.
Facilities: The sink water is small and the shower water is not large. The shower is bad.

I recently stayed at the Radisson hotel in Colombo and was blown away by the experience. The stunning ocean view from my room was the highlight of my stay.
Breakfast was delicious and it was made even better by the ocean view from the dining area. The rooftop bar with the pool had the most incredible sunset view I have ever seen. Sipping on a cocktail while watching the sun go down was a truly memorable experience.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing stay in Colombo. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall experience was unforgettable. I will definitely be returning to the Radisson hotel on my next visit to Colombo.

During the last few days in Colombo, I chose the Sheraton, which is conveniently located. The price is very good for the New Year's Day. The room is quite large, clean, relatively new facilities, and the service is also very good. You can get a tuk-tuk when you go out. It is very convenient to walk to Galle Face. There is a supermarket downstairs. The train station is next to the sea. In the morning, I got on the train station and waited for a while. The photo was over~
The breakfast is quite rich. There are many kinds of juice and bread. You can fry any meat you want. The only thing to avoid is that it is best to request no connecting rooms when checking in. We are in 1209 opposite the elevator. The neighbors who checked in at midnight can hear the talking, singing, and even whistling clearly. The sound insulation is a bit poor. People who sleep light must request it when checking in.

Pricing was excellent. Location was close to National Museums, the beach, shopping districts, and more all within either 10 min walking distance to 5-10 min tuk-tuk ride. Cleanliness was overall very clean. However, in our first night at the smoking-allowed floor, we found two small termites on our bed. Rest of the night was completely fine and when we eventually moved to a non-smoking floor, we had no bug issues at all. Now the best highlights of Cinnamon Red were their service, hospitality, and facilities. With a small but quaint pool and deck on the top floor, we watched the beautiful Sri Lanka sunset. There's a decent gym there too. Breakfast was marvelous, that is if you don't mind having Sri Lankan style breakfast of spices, curries, and egg hoppers - ”western” options were plenty from poached eggs, bacons, sausages fruits, musseuli, yogurt, order-made omelets, waffles and pancakes, all accompanied by the famous Ceylon tea to die for. Lastly, I cannot praise enough the kindness, hospitality, and smiles from the staff. They were incredibly helpful and supportive to any and all of our requests. Do bring your own soap, shampoo, and conditioners and cameras because the way the hotel is designed, you get an unclustered, incredible view of Colombo from any room.

This hotel is right next to a pharmacy as well as next to a market . However , it really isn’t close to the sites I don’t think. Considering it to be a third world country in a sense , the hotel itself wasn’t that bad. The service hotel service was timely and everyone was friendly . Really enjoyed the pool area

The room was good, new and clean, especially after the terrible experience of staying at Radisson, Amari seemed to be very cost-effective.
The breakfast environment and service were good. Although the food was not particularly appetizing, it was still okay.
The swimming pool was also quite long, but the gym was not in operation. In addition, there was no bathroom and changing room in the swimming pool, so you had to go back to the room to change wetly, but these were minor problems. In Sri Lanka, the conditions were already very good.

At the breakfast buffet the first day was excellent after that it was a steady decline. We had to ask for a cup of coffee numerous times from different waiters before getting one minus sugar, saucers & teaspoons. One morning one of the managers in yellow tie picked up our plates unfortunately I hadn’t finished & had to grab my good before the plate was taken.
With room service one time we had no hand towels that was no big deal the next day they cleaned the room & left no towels they told us they would be back in 5 mins with towels one & a half hours later we had to ring reception to be told they would send someone up straight away, over 2 hours later we finally received our towels.
In the cafe we sat at a table had to ask for menus waited over an hour & a half but no one took our order!
Not to mention our room bell rang at 11:10pm & someone trying to open our door when we shouted out they said they were bringing us water!

GGuest UserMy friend and I travelled to Colombo in January from the UK. The hotel is large, modern, well appointed. Comfortable bedrooms, ample choice at breakfast (which can get busy). Our room had a Lakeside view, pretty enough, but it also overlooked the poolside bar/club which had loud music playing till the very early hours, rendering sleep a challenge. I would recommend checking this, before you book, or stay on the other side of the hotel.
However, what soured our stay was that the day after we checked in at the hotel, we were victims of a scam.
As we left the hotel to walk to the local temple in the morning (still jet lagged), a man claiming to be a hotel employee started a conversation with us. He claimed his name was Sangha Perera. He appeared to be helpful, giving us directions. As it was raining, he advised us that taking a tuk tuk around the main tourist attractions would be easier and cheaper. As he was connected to the hotel, we trusted him. He 'found' us a tuktuk, and even joined us acting as an unnoficial guide. Eventually he ended up taking us to an 'officially credited' government approved jewellery shop, which had 50% off, he even told us a percentage of profits would be donated to tsunami orphans. We were pressurised by the shop management (all men) into purchasing items. After that the tuktuk driver told us the ride for 2.5 hours would cost equivalent of £100 in rupees, and things got very heated until we paid up.
We reported the matter to the Jeevani Perera, Lobby Manager at Colombo Cinnamon Lakeside hotel. She told us the man did not work at the hotel, and an identical incident had happened previously. We also spoke to the hotel security officer, who said he would check hotel security videos. Later we even sent them photos of the man claiming to be an hotel employee and the tuktuk driver. We were disappointed to receive no response from them.
BE WARNED if you stay at this hotel. Scammers are working around there, and the hotel seemingly turns a blind eye, without advising guests checking in! (SEE PHOTOS OF SCAMMERS ATTACHED). Am sure the same thing goes on outside other hotels too...
We eventually went to the local police, who were helpful, and they went with us to get our money back from the jewellery shop (Lanka Sapphire Lapidary PVT Ltd., no 83 Dharmaphala Mawatha, Colombo 07), but it was not easy to do so. A salutary lesson.

CCJ12A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen.
We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed.
Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel.
All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

Additionally, the duvet cover was torn. As a five-star establishment, we anticipate a higher level of quality and were disappointed with the current state of the room.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean and stylish. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

GGuest UserThe hotel is quite clean, there is a swimming pool, there was no refrigerator in the room, the food in the restaurant is not very suitable for Russians, they cook unusually and not tasty. The food in the restaurants of Unyvatuna was much better. The location is very good. If you have not been to Colombo before, I highly recommend taking a tour from a tuk tuk driver, they offer tours at the hotels. You can negotiate for 4000 rupees. He will briefly tell you in English and drive around Colombo for 3 or 4 hours. We saw all the main sights and the driver waited at the temples and museums. Despite the fact that at the resorts they offer to pay for a tour of the same places, but with a Russian guide for 100 dollars per person. The price is not justified.

「「taozi」Overall, it was okay, but things were a little slow. I had to wait for an hour to check in. The WiFi was sent by the housekeeper after contacting Ctrip customer service. There are basically no people in the area who speak Chinese.
The hotel has a swimming pool, breakfast is included, you can see the beach, and the train passes by at 5 o'clock in the morning. In terms of value for money, it's pretty good.
Go out to the main road, about 600 meters away, and then on the right, there is a supermarket and KFC
