Premier Inn Cockermouth

Stayed for two nights earlier this year, the room was a good size for a premier inn and was clean and tidy - no complaints there. Plenty of parking and good location off the dual carriage way. 15 minute walk to town for a good breakfast or a starbucks across the road (if you don’t use the attached pub). Agree with other comments that front desk service pretty miserable and curt (e.g when we asked to borrow a pen to write a card for an event we were going to). Pub food on the attached restaurant cheap and cheerful, can’t complain about it as was fine and not expensive but maybe worth venturing a bit further if you have time.

Wonderful location in the Lake District. The hotel was nice and clean. The lady on reception was fantastic at helping us when we had an issue and was professional but friendly. Symone went out of her way to make sure everything was to our liking and with staff like this we wouldn't hesitate in returning.

We were greeted by a lovely, warm and helpful receptionist - Chantel. Checked us in smoothly and gave helpful advice.

The hotel itself is nice and we have stayed there many times. However the service we received at the reception and restaurant was unsatisfactory. We were advised they weren’t taking booking for evening meals immediately after making payment and a long drive. Handed a takeaway menu as an attempt at an alternative. Found they were serving meals later when we went down. Bar was closed before 10pm. Staff sitting around eating after turfing customers out early. And to take the biscuit, the Wi-Fi was turned off for the whole stay. Terrible service.

The hotel was lovely friendly staff. The issue was no internet the whole time we was there. So planning our days or looking for information we couldn't do. We had to sit in car to do our research no idea at all

The expected stay at a Premier Inn. Comfy bed, clean surrounds and a hearty meal in the adjoining Brewers Fayre. What made this stay noteworthy, was Jo on reception. From the initial call to enquire about booking a table and throughout my stay, i was treated like a VIP by a lovely, genuine lady who not only was willing to go the extra mile, did so in a manner that made me feel truly valued as a guest. Well done Jo !

Lovely hotel to stay in. Rooms as you would expect from a Premier Inn. Location for us was good as it's within driving distance of what we were doing. Food and staff were really good.
