Country Road House and Berries Bed & Breakfast - Farm Stay

Cozy, peaceful stay! Highly recommend. It was easy to find, not a bad drive from the interstate, but in such a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable beds and lovely breakfast. Would love to come back during strawberry season!

Thank you John and Angela for your great hospitality. The loft was a fun place to stay the night. Very cold though in the evening (but that's what I get for booking in the Fall 😜) so dress accordingly if you visit during the colder months. I slept fine with my thermals and electric blanket. After the sun went down I was able to project some scary halloween movies on the loft wall so that was fun too! Breakfast the next morning was great and made fresh by John & Angela. I would definitely visit again!

Hosts were gracious, breakfast was delicious, accommodations were clean, safe, quaint and perfect.

There was beautiful scenery driving up to the property. Angela met us upon arrival and gave us a big warm welcome. She showed us around the property and introduced us to some of the animals! We got to see and pet the goats, ducks and chickens. Angela recommended some nature trails both on the property and nearby in town. The little outhouse was clean and did not smell. Shortly after arriving and checking in we headed over to the Elk River Trail where we went for a hike and saw some deer. It was absolutely beautiful. Afterwards we went into town and grabbed a bite to eat at Paddler's Bar and Grill which had really good pub style food. When we got back to the b&b Angela and John started a fire for us during which time we got to chat with them. They were so nice and personable, really made the stay enjoyable. Once it got dark, it was very quiet and relaxing. We sat listening to the sound of the fire and watched the stars and fireflies. We didn't have any issues with mosquitos and didn't need bug repellent. The barn was very cute, the string lighting at night was nice touch. There were two windows with no glass or screens which had good airflow into the barn. There were a few chairs and a coffee table, as well as a few outlets to charge your devices. Angela had even set out some bottles of water for us. The beds had netting around them although we didn't find bugs to be an issue. The beds themselves were comfortable and the sheets were clean. There was WiFi available but it didn't really work that well in the barn but not an issue for us. The WiFi signal was strong by the picnic tables and the for pit area. We were served a delicious breakfast outside at the picnic table where we could take in the scenic views of the property. It was beautiful and Angela's homemade muffins were amazing. I would highly recommend the breakfast if you have time for it ($10 a person extra charge) good value for price. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend this stay to others. Will definitely be back!

Sweet and Quaint little farmhouse. Tucked away on a country road. Beds are clean and cozy. Very hearty and delicious breakfast! We enjoyed a quick hike on a private trail nearby. Angela is a very thoughtful and helpful host. 😊

If you are a primitive camper than this is for you!!!! You have a roof a bed and an outhouse!!!!! The breakfast is easily 5 stars!!!! Both Angela and John are wonderful and eager to please! They had their hands full with 2 large families over the weekend but everything was smooth as strawberry jelly!!! The other guests were just my favorite! We had wonderful weather and were just as happy with the barn as our tent! I don't know about you but I don't think that I have ever had quiche while camping but I think I will have to look into primitive camping quiche! LOL! If you need a minute away and are local it's just a must and if you aren't and want some peace and tranquility with a great host than the Country Roads and Berries B & B is your thing!!!!

5 stars are not enough. Everything about the Country Road House and Berries Bed and Breakfast is warm and welcoming, with a quaint, rustic charm. The scenery is overwhelmingly beautiful.  The Cellar House was quite comfortable,  and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious.  The Borne family were perfect hosts/hostesses.  Angela, John, Matt, Sam, and Brooke have truly found their calling in the hospitality field. The Country Road House and Berries Bed and Breakfast will be my first choice of lodging during future visits to the area.

My daughter and I had an excellent experience! The hosts were genuinely kind and friendly and solicitous of our comfort (without being at all intrusive). We loved walking along the trails on the property. Very pretty! I was very impressed by the quality of the breakfast Angela prepared for us and especially grateful for how carefully and creatively she addressed my daughter's food allergies. It was delicious!

We stayed at the Country Road House and Berries in early May in the "farmhouse." John and Angela were very accomodating and pleasant. We loved their chickens, rooster and goats! I would recommend the farmhouse to couples traveling together or a small family (two good sized bedrooms with a shared bath in the hall). My favorite room was the dining room with its MONSTER table. Back in the day I'm sure it looked much as it did when we were there. Each morning, John and Angela would bring us a hearty breakfast (so GOOD!). So thanks to John and Angela for their hospitality!
