Ulasan The Chester Grosvenor

If you think of staying in Chester, you can't but think of the Grosvenor. Perfectly located in the heart of the city center, it delivers quality service and style. Mostly. The entrance is grand and the brasserie and restaurant are superb. Go a bit further in the hotel towards the back elevator and you'll start to notice the mouldy pong which seems to chimney up the lift shaft. It was not too bad in the suite we booked but still there. The suite was incredibly spacious with large entrance, sitting/dining area, bathroom with bath AND shower as well as a separate toilet and big bedroom. What was less brilliant was the shower: hardly any water from the hand shower and a tray that continually threatened to overflow. Both were fixed on first mention. The vanity mirror light unfortunately was not and it makes me think housekeeping is losing a trick: should they not have noticed and reported each of these issues? What was really a stain on our stay though was the airco/ventilation. Switching it off didn't silence things are there was a continuous ventilation noise in the bedroom which made sleeping rather, well, broken. A shame as otherwise it's a brilliant hotel. Had that been fixed, I would be back in a heartbeat.
