I'd never quite heard of this hotel before but I, nevertheless, decided to take a chance anyway and stayed at the Park Plaza for 3 nights (May 2025). While the property is well located and makes a good first impression, the overall experience was quite underwhelming — especially for a hotel that boasts of a Radisson connection and rates itself highly on stars. The entrance is beautifully landscaped, the lobby is spacious and pleasant (though a touch of fragrance would have been nice), and check-in was quick and efficient. The room itself was clean and looked recently renovated, which initially gave me hope. However, I had requested a nice room with a view and instead got one facing a gas cylinder storage area and private homes with clothes drying on their terraces — not quite the view you'd expect from a premium-rated hotel. The bathroom looked aged was most disappointing: the shower head was clogged with calcium deposits, and both the toilet bowl and fixtures were outdated and poorly maintained. Toiletries were quite limited as well. Towels were not replenished after rooms were cleaned (laundry breakdown, i was told) and had to be requested via phone calls to the reception. Customer service was abysmal in the Oasis restaurant where the staff were inattentive and absolutely disinterested. Room service was unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. Food trays arrived without lids, and used plates were left by guests outside the rooms for hours, creating a foul smell in the corridors. Overall, the experience did not match the brand reputation or the star rating the hotel claims. Serious improvements in hygiene, staff training, and attention to guest requests are urgently needed. I would not stay here again unless these issues are sincerely addressed.
