We have been staying here for several years and I have to say that sadly this hotel has lost its personal connection with guests. We didn’t feel like returning guests but more like strangers and it was purely business from the hotel. We have such wonderful memories here sadly clouded by new staff who have no idea how to connect.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The first thing that caught my attention was the stunning views that the hotel offers. Whether you're enjoying a meal in the restaurant or relaxing in your room, the scenery is simply breathtaking. The location of the hotel provides a unique perspective of Cape Town, and I found myself captivated by the cityscape. The staff at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside are truly exceptional. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The level of service throughout my stay was consistently excellent. The staff members were not only efficient but also went out of their way to ensure that every need was met. Their genuine friendliness added a personal touch to the overall experience. One of the standout features for me was the secure parking facilities. Knowing that my vehicle was safely parked on the premises provided an added sense of comfort during my stay. It's evident that the hotel takes security seriously, contributing to the overall feeling of safety and peace of mind. Now, let's talk about the breakfast – it was nothing short of amazing. The variety of options available was impressive, catering to a range of tastes and dietary preferences. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the presentation added a touch of sophistication. The hotel was out of this world.The staff were friendly and extremely helpful .The hotel’s cleanliness was breathtaking .My room was nice and spacious The hotel bar has an outside are where you can chill and have a cocktail .The hotel also has a restaurant,you don’t have to order in or go out to eat because the food was very good .I cannot wait to be back and experience the pool area

I took my sister on this trip to Capetown. Everything was awesome. The service was top tier, from the concierge assisting us with local places to explore , to the on sight restaurants. I’ll definitely come back in the future. I was just disappointed with the hair on the bathroom floor upon checking in. We also had to request robes & sleepers as opposed to finding them available in the room.

Location was a bit walking distance from waterfront. And the roads were under construction, it was not easy to access Uber or cabs. It was also the convention time, the hotel was packed. Breakfast hours were very noisy and food was soso. It would be a great location for business travelers to the convention centers. Staff were all very friendly and quick checking in and out. But besides the hotel, there was nothing nearby to do at night.

While the breakfast is average, the standout feature is undoubtedly the exceptional customer service—friendly and accommodating staff go above and beyond. Amenities are decent but not exceptional. Overall, a solid choice for those prioritizing location and top-notch service over lavish amenities.

Advantages: It is close to the waterfront, the room is okay, and the space is large, with a separate living room. Disadvantages: Although it is close to the waterfront, the front and back buildings perfectly block all the landscape, and the waterfront and the Table Mountain cannot be seen. The worst part is that the hot water in the room is not automatic. My partner and I turned around for a long time and found a button. The water wasted for a long time. One person finished washing the other without hot water ... The worse thing is, A 1,000zar deposit was charged. My partner and I forgot to take the deposit when checking out, and they did not remind me. Then we took the deposit bar to retrieve the deposit, saying that the envelope in which our deposit was placed was missing, and we asked him to adjust the monitoring. One of them said that they could not take money from other places, but that the person in charge of the monitoring room was not there. We have to wait for the buddy who checked out the next day to come to work to pay the deposit. We also left our contact information and said that it resolved it and called us, but we did n’t call until the next day. Fortunately, we did n’t rush to rush the plane that day. The next day we went to get the money and the little brother took it out. 1000zar returned to us. I think as a hotel, the deposit bar is the proof that you owe the customer money. No matter where you keep the deposit, it should be returned unconditionally at the first time. If you do n’t lose your envelope, do n’t dare us. Those who check in must remember to take the deposit bar, we are fortunate to save it this time, otherwise they will be hacked. As a large hotel, the quality of employees is very problematic.

Hotel location is very convenient! Rooms are very spacious and well maintained. It looked like a very new hotel. They have shuttle busses or even boat rides to VA Waterfront. Would definitely recommend.

The location of the President Hotel is very good. It is the preferred hotel recommended by South African friends. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the beach. We booked the Ocean Classic Room (with balcony). There is no picture of this suite type on Ctrip. I have been worried that I can’t see the sea view. In addition, the big bed can be split into 2 single beds by the hotel. The hotel arranged us in rooms 647 and 648 (the highest 6 floors of the hotel), which are located in the northeast of the hotel. You can see both the sunrise and the sunset by the sea. It is really a super invincible sea view room. Since the two rooms are next to each other, there was a dinner party. The hotel does not provide toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers, you need to bring your own. The breakfast variety is very rich and there are quite a lot of choices. Most of the tourists in this hotel are European and American guests, and I didn't see many Asians. There are 2 large bottles of pure water (1L volume), coffee and tea bags in the room, among which black tea is a specialty of South Africa, you can try it. The hygienic condition of the hotel is OK, and the bathroom supplies are average. The hair dryer was in the drawer of the desk and I couldn't find it on the first day. The guest room is cleaned every day, and a tip of 2 dollars is prepared for the service staff every day, just put it on the bedside table. South Africa uses South African standard plugs, so remember to bring them with you when you go abroad. Alternatively, a 2-pin round plug can be used.
