Hotel Bon Repos

Booked 2 rooms direct to hotel for august 23 had a nice stay but on my return to Britain they decided to take another payment of £286 out of my bank it has took me 13 stressful weeks to get a refund and still never got full refund. SO BEWARE

There isn’t much to do at this hotel, and not round the area either. The food was horrible, not even edible, food was never warm, there wasn’t any signs saying what the food was either in English. Wouldn’t recommend staying here. The drinks were also awful, there was no cider on at all and all spirits were horrible so didn’t drink all week in the hotel. Wouldn’t recommend going all inclusive as we didn’t spend anytime here as it was rubbish. Only bonus from staying here is the beach as it is beautiful. But the overall area isn’t very pleasant, graffiti everywhere, fairly fun down area. Wouldn’t recommend

Clean hotel perfect holiday so much to do around the area and the beach is just breath taking, entertainment in the evening and the pool area is a great place to chill to! The food isn’t to my liking but they have a burger king and McDonald’s near by I’d definitely go back.

Come on a family holiday with 2 children wasn't allowed to play with inflatables in pool, food was terrible and cold not a lot to choose from, staff wasn't helpful at all, hotel was really noisy as had a load of local school children after complaining nothing was sorted, won't be staying again and wouldn't advise anyone who wants a relaxing holiday with children, worst holiday I've ever experienced 😢😢

Myself and my best friend both in our 60tys, Check in quick and easy room exceptionally clean ,overall hotel clean, was the spainish bank Holiday so really really packed and running riot with children, not a problem thou as love to see them enjoying theselfs, only found one other English spoken couple, we thought the food was OK, but as soon as the Spanish left on the Monday we had arrived on the Friday, the food went right down hill, the fridge was empty for ice creams and was told shut down in 2 weeks , hence why no entertainment which is annoying as it mine and my friends annual holiday which we saved hard for and was not cheap, would I come back again no, The good is very central to shops, but wrong time of year to come here, it is the 13th September and we are sat by the pool twiddling our thumbs, yes we could go out but we chose this hotel for entertainment and save pennies we haven't got, so unless you have money to eat out and find your own entertainment which out side the complex is lovely and easy to find, maybe it is not for you if you are on a budget, the poor children here now are board with nothing to do which is a shame

Stayed at the Bon Repòs September. When we arrived it was a bank holiday weekend in Spain so the hotel was packed with Spanish families which is ok but also very busy. The food was mediocre but edible. Since the families have gone the food has rapidly gone downhill. Everything is cold and not much choice. They also stopped the ice cream!!!! Cannot complain about the cleanliness though . Would I come back here …. absolutely NOT.

When reading the reviews, my boyfriend and I were worried about staying at Bon Repos. We were pleasantly surprised! We arrived early hours and were checked in quickly and efficiently, our room was perfect for the two of us with a balcony and air con! The only minor point was breakfast is an hour window between 08:30 and 09:30. Not a major issue just a short time period! The pool always had a sun bed for us both and the poolside was maintained very well! The bar was open for drinks, we were bed and breakfast so had to pay but the prices were very reasonable and the shop is across the road so not an issue to pop down and grab whatever you need. Many reviews point out the noise in the evening, we were on the top floor and while there was entertainment on in the evening it never disturbed us. There were the occasional slamming of doors and people walking by our door but that it is to be expected at a hotel and never disturbed our sleep! The location was perfect, a 5 minute walk into the town and beach. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. We truly couldn’t complain.

We came here for a week stay as a couple in our mid twenties. We had an all inclusive package and we really did feel we got we we paid for. The food is mediocre, salads are nice and desserts are nice. Main dishes are always lukewarm except for whatever meat or fish is being cooked in front of you by one chef. The problem with the restaurant is that by the time you go through the queues for food and get to sit down, all your food is then stone cold. There was never any cutlery on tables which is fine but there were also rarely any knives or forks available from anywhere else in the restaurant. It is way way too small to cater for the amount of guests it is serving. The drinks also were not great! There was a few cocktails but they are just fruit juice and we really couldn’t taste any alcohol in any cocktail or other drink we ordered. It’s very badly watered down except for beer and wine. One night we decided to stay in the hotel for drinks and we both managed to have 10 drinks over the evening and went to bed completely sober!! And yet we had two drinks each in a local bar the following night and were feeling the effect of the alcohol. The snacks throughout the day is okay and handy. Maids are okay, clean bin and towels every day but they did not change our sheets once throughout the stay which we wouldn’t usually care about but there was a very visible stain on our bed sheet where I accidentally spilled something. The walls are also paper thin. I was woken a couple of times by people coming home from their nights out and could even hear the couple next door snoring clearly! I We had activities on every day so I can’t comment on the pool area but we did catch a glimpse of the entertainment one night and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Staff are okay, some miserable, some lovely but that seems to be anywhere you go. All in all you get what you pay for and the hotel is very central to lots of lovely bars and restaurants and the beach.

What a wonderful holiday me and my 3 children (6,8 and 10) have just had!!! Where do I start?? The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and so so helpful (even charging my children's tablets everyday behind reception because I forgot the foreign adapter!) Even when we lost our room key (4 TIMES!) They quickly replaced it with no problems at all. The bar staff were quick, efficient and offered lots of different options for my children who can be very picky at times. Food was also FANTASTIC! SO many different options at every mealtime and also served hot dogs, burgers, toasties and fries when the restaurant was closed! YES they didn't do nuggets and fries everyday... but YOURE IN SPAIN... if you want nuggets everyday for youre kids then stay in England!!! Staff in the restaurant were also amazing... helping my children pour drinks and holding plates for them while they picked what food they wanted... lots of labels in different languages so you knew what you were choosing. LOADS of options for drinks for the kids... pepsi, sprite, fanta, lemon fanta, choc/straw/vanilla milkshakes and even kiddie cocktails! Even the beer was real.. estrella! Not usual local rubbish. Entertainment in the evening EVERY night was fun, interactive and the Spanish lads made my 3 kids feel so welcome and involved it was lovely!! The kids club the same guys also did during the day (colouring/painting/jigsaws/face painting) was also loads of fun for the kids. I DO NOT understand the recent bad reviews on this place in regards "the Spanish" being treated better.. what ABSOLUTE rubbish! Me and my children were treated with warmth, decency and kindness by ALL the staff at Bon repos Hotel and you all made my children's first holiday abroad an amazing experience and I will be bringing them back next year! I cannot thank EVERYONE at the hotel enough for youre wonderful service and courtesy towards myself and my children... many thanks... "muchos gracias" Robert.. southport.. UK
