I arrived at the end of November, the beginning of the rainy season, and arrived at 4am in the pouring rain, and arrived at the hotel at around 6am. They allowed me to check in early and were very accommodating, but there were almost no amenities, just a bar of soap, shampoo, and one small bottle of conditioner. No towel changes or additional amenities for the first 7 days... I thought it was humid in the summer, but I thought it can't be helped because towel changes are rarely done in Australia (due to water shortages and to protect resources). I thought the location was about 10 minutes from the main area, but it was quite far with a stroller. Considering the hotel staff's attitude and cleanliness, I think it was pretty good.

The hotel feels rather old and battered. The guests are given regular keys instead of keycards, the walls and the apartment entrance doors are so thin that I could hear my neighbours 24/7. The lift works without tapping the keycard, so anyone can go to any floor. The reception closes at 8, so there is noone to help if anything happens later in the evening/at night. I also heard people shouting in the hallways at night. In general, I just didn't feel safe at this hotel as a solo female traveller.
