"very good! We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is a high-end series of Ibis brand. It is only five minutes away from the train station. It is very new and clean. It is much better than the Crown Garden in another city where we stayed a few days ago. I guess it is mainly because of the newness. . If the breakfast is not good, there are many places to eat nearby so you don’t need to order. This city is the capital of Lower Normandy and is quite beautiful. We stayed here for two nights, taking bus 12 to the Normandy landing beaches and taking the train to the Abbey of Saint-Michel."

Unfortunately, the kettle wasn't clean upon arrival, and two cups were taken away for cleaning and not returned until the next day. It was also very noisy outside at night—many drunk people made sleeping difficult. Overall, the stay was fine, but there is room for improvement, especially in terms of cleanliness and noise pollution at night."

"This little hotel is more like a Bed & Breakfast! The proprietors are attentive and keep the property immaculate. We ate in the dining room for several meals and it was really good. The rooms were comfortable. Caen is a very special place, easy to navigate and full of charm. The hotel is walking distance to a top notch boulangerie (Bon Ble) and a well-stocked market. I highly recommend getting picnic foods and wander around the city."

"My friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France."

"This hotel is a gem! There is nothing like it in all of Caen! To these 2 Americans, it felt very Parisian. Incredible location, kind staff who spoke excellent English (which we needed), wonderful hospitality, and though not inexpensive, a very good value! Be prepared to be flexible about parking, but parking is not a problem. Just have to do on-street parking, which is free at night, nearby. Dozens of fabulous restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and shopping nearby. Walking distance to all of the sites!"
