The breakfast is rich, delicious, and tasty. But unfortunately and expected, its not HALAL so I only took salad, bread, egg and potatoes. There is a children's playground and luggage storage is free. The mini bar inside the room is FREE and can ask to top anytime. The facilities are complete. The laundry room and gym on the 29th floor, the front desk is enthusiastic and quick. Liliana helped us and send us some good eating tips. Liliana also upgraded our room and helped us check in early at 10am. She prepared for us a fruit basket too. There is a Halal restaurant just outside our hotel beside the Ibis entrance. We will choose to stay in the hotel next time.

This hotel is a short walk from chunxi Rd Metro station and easy to connect with chengdu East railway. Plenty of options from eating walking distance. The ladies at the reception were really friendly and helpful. I was upgraded to a bigger room. Cleaning was good as well as breakfast. Not many wester options for breakfast, but still ok.

Had a room with river view, night time it's really beautiful. Front desk staff is very helpful with every enquiry we made. Location is within walking distance to Chengdu famous bridge and F&B services. By the way the breakfast is served on the top floor, again with great view of the surrounding. Although the room was comfortable, our stay was somewhat marred by the renovation works on Level 1, which caused significant dust. We were not informed about the renovation beforehand, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the laundry facilities on Level 2 were convenient and appreciated.

The Dongda Minyoun is an excellent hotel. My room was exquisite - truly the height of luxury and modernity. And those views of Chengdu - wow! I'll offer one piece of constructive criticism for the hotel - the food isn't great. I was pretty underwhelmed by the breakfasts there. However, this really isn't a big deal, as there are literally thousands of excellent restaurants in Chengdu, so it wasn't an issue. Overall, I'd give my stay a perfect score - the room was gorgeous, the views are amazing, and the staff was very helpful and patient.

During my recent trip to Chengdu, I stayed at the Meihua R Hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel’s prime location near Chunxi Road made it exceptionally convenient for shopping and dining. A short walk across the nearby overpass brought me directly to the bustling pedestrian street. Additionally, both the subway and bus stations were just steps away, facilitating easy exploration of the city.
The hotel’s front desk, situated on the 7th floor, required a transfer between elevators to reach the rooms, which was a minor inconvenience. However, the staff’s warm and enthusiastic service more than compensated for this. Upon check-in, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully prepared; I was even offered a refreshing wet towel upon arrival.
One of the standout features of the Meihua R Hotel was the complimentary afternoon tea and evening porridge, both of which were delightful and served in a clean, inviting environment. These thoughtful touches enhanced my overall experience.
In summary, the combination of the hotel’s strategic location, exceptional service, and comfortable accommodations made my stay memorable. I highly recommend the Meihua R Hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu and look forward to returning on my next visit.

The hotel is close to Wenshu Monastery Metro station (Line 1, 5-10min walk) and a good starting point for travelling in all directions. The staff at the reception was nice and they tried their best to explain everything to us in English (translating tools are very helpful/needed here in general!). Although the hotel has a non-smoking policy (signs are up everywhere), nobody really cares and the lobby as well as the room had a cigarette smell. Nevertheless, the hotel and the room was very clean, although the glorious times of the Celebrity are over. It is a bit old and could need some renovation during which they could also install a noise protection that cancels the sound from your neighbors (we had someone next to us snoring all night and we could perfectly hear it). However, the breakfast compensated for a lot. The selection of mostly Chinese dishes was amazing. Overall, the hotel has a fair cost/performance ratio and we can recommend it.

If u take the airport bus line 1 from chengdu tianfu airport, it stops at the junction of IFS building (with the panda) ar chunxi road. Its abt a 5mins walk. Probably less than 400m u can reach the hotel..however the hotel faces the back of the main road so it may be difficult to find. The title of the building is in chinese words so u need to match the chinese characters. the building is beside adidas shop. Location is good. There's a tourist bus from a bus stop near the panda landmark that goes to most of the tourist location like the panda base (and even dujiangyan, lesha). Very good location. Very near metro line and this line is a junction as well. Hotel is pretty old.. the aircond cant really be controlled and it got too hot at one point of time. Not the most comfortable hotel but the best location.

Tten.ten.2020Coming here again in the spring, this inn remains the highlight of my trip.
Imagine having had a rough trip: the cold, intense population density, and tough business meetings. Weary, you get off a late flight with sore legs. You trudge over to the inn, turning the final corner into its warm lights, past the usual check-in time. You have no idea how things could go; some hotel receptions can be rather unpleasant. Your first brush with Xishu is its simple double glass doors, and the sight of a giant panda statue. You totter past it gingerly, unsure if anyone is awake at such a late hour.
Ah.
But someone is.
A youthful girl smiles gently at you over the counter, ”Hello. Check in?”
You smile awkwardly, unsure, ”Yes, I know it's late...”
”No,” She responds softly, ”It's ok. Could I get your passport?”
There wasn't a fuss. She smiles and gets to work quietly, clicking away. You set your luggage down and look around. Behind you, you notice the little courtyard, a cultural icon of traditional chinese architecture. A small fountain sputters, fairy lights are strung above for the spring festival, casting a surreal ambience over everything. Wind chimes jingle faintly. You draw a breath at it all. Small tables and chairs are laid out, welcoming you.
”Your room key,” You turn around to see the youthful girl at the counter smiling gently with a keycard. She briefs you in the same calming tone; wifi, breakfast, washing machines, and even a map of attractions all planned out.
You thank her, reminded of your travel fatigue, and head on up. Your footsteps are dampened by carpet, going in hallways of soothing chinese wooden interior designs. The inn is quiet at this hour, unlike the large hotels that have kids or travel groups. You tap your keycard to get in your room... And a small welcome basket awaits you. Apples and oranges, sweets, tiny little spicy sichuan snacks. The aesthetic of the room remains faithful to the inn, throwing you back down the memory lane... to Japanese ryokans, to Bali's traditional guest villas, or to vacation cottages in Europe.
But something is a little different.
Instead of stripping technology and modern convenience, this inn has woven it into its design. Air conditioning has been set for you. Smart toilet seats detect your presence and keep itself clean. Shower buttons are easy to understand, with a single easily controllable hot water lever. Even the mirror at the bathroom sink detects your presence and lights up, with a heating coil that prevents it from fogging on mornings.
You wash up.
Sleep.
The next day, you wake for breakfast, barely after the sun had broken the steel gray of dawn, now you witness the inn's courtyard in the day. Nobody is seated outside yet in such low temperatures, but you take a moment to look around and just soak in the ambience.
Uninterrupted.
When you finally turn towards reception, you notice a pair youthful girls at the counter. Both quietly smiling and unassuming. Calming, instead of the forced professionalism at other hotels.
There's something real here. A sincerity. A genuine kindness that permeates, perhaps from proximity to the monastery? Perhaps the unique historic district? Perhaps the owner and managers made it this way.
The girls check your breakfast options again, in case you might have changed your mind. You totter into the resturant, barely awake, but a fresh cup of nespresso hits you quickly, a familiar aroma from home in a land 12,000km away from home.
And then fruits.
Milk.
Toast bread.
Butter!
Sichuan noodles in the morning.
Exotic dumplings.
Eggs sunny side up.
By the time breakfast is done, you know you will be returning here again.
And again.
I have.
I've made friends with the hotel staff.
I hope you will too.

TTAT YANGI had a wonderful experience at this hotel! I accidentally left my international converter in my room, but when I called the front desk, I was assisted by 小灵 and 小岚. They were incredibly efficient and helpful, going above and beyond to arrange the delivery of my converter to my current hotel. I really appreciated their prompt and thoughtful service.

Concept: I like the concept of integrating hotels, cafes and bars, which makes the experience of staying in the hotel very convenient.
Environment: I like the environment it creates in the old town, as if in the jungle, with many large green plants, indoors and outdoors. The big tree at the door is specially decorated with a parrot's nest, and the wall tiles in the bathroom are also green and gold with a jungle feel. The floor tiles in the bedroom also have the visual effect of a gravel road. Although you are indoors, you can also feel the concept of nature.
Food: Every drink in the hotel, whether it is coffee or wine, is very beautiful and tastes great. Fuqin is a subway station away, and there are also many local snacks.
Service: I like the front desk staff, who greet me with a smile every time I see them. One of the staff members also paid special attention to my preference for environment and service.
Facilities: The bed is very comfortable and the shower water temperature is also great. There is a guide booklet at the door, which is very suitable for people who are not familiar with this place to refer to some travel information.
Transportation: The subway station is just a few minutes’ walk away, and there are shared bicycles available at the door.

MMkjhgThis stay at the Chengdu Louis Castle Qingtong Hotel really brought me too many surprises and touched me, and made me deeply feel what it means to feel at home.
From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was infected by the enthusiasm of the staff. When checking in, their professionalism and efficiency were impressive, and the sincere smile was like a spring breeze, instantly eliminating my fatigue from the journey.
After entering the room, I found that the hotel room was clean and bright, with complete facilities and equipment, a retro and generous decoration style, soft and clean bedding, and a good sleep. Air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi and other equipment are complete and easy to use, and the sound insulation effect is also great, completely free from external interference.
During the entire stay, whether it was the warm reception of Happy
Bi and Iy
at the front desk, or the thoughtful and meticulous room service, I felt the hotel staff's persistent pursuit of service quality. They always appear in time when I need them, solve problems for me with smiles and actions, and make me feel comfortable and at ease every moment here.
This hotel interprets what is true quality service. It not only provides a place to stay, but also creates a home full of warmth and care for guests. JJaneyyy89This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms.
Some noteworthy details:
- Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort.
- The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include:
(a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now!
(b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room
(c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C.
(d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold.
- Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them.
- We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away.
- We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2.
- Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too.
- We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests.
Areas of improvement:
- Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake.
- The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper.
- Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor).

On the first day, I felt that the room was too hot. Before checking in the next day, I contacted us about the check-in time and kept the room cool in advance. This time, my companion caught a cold. We asked about his concern and helped him to cook ginger soup.
In addition, the two masters in the concierge department are very polite and greet people with a smile.
One of them, Timwang (Wang Bing), was speechless..

GGuest UserI had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn't feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists.
Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

We arrived late past 12am, the person who picked us up came on time, however, a heads up would be well appreciated as the way to the hotel was a dark, unlit, small road. We were all alert and concerned about where we were heading. A real scare!! Other than that, everything is okay for a night stay.
