Twin Lakes Resort

The reservations were easy to make online. The owners, Tim and Misty are so nice and friendly! The cabins are comfy and equipped with what is needed to prepare your dinners, nice sized refrigerator for your food, bbq grills, large grassy area And playground equipment for the kids. Lots of close by places to explore, hike and fish besides the lakes. I also rented a boat from them and it was first class! Clean, modern and equipped with a fish finder for us serious fisherman! In fact I rented one for two days. Boat reservation was a simple online process that can be done while booking your cabin online. I also appreciated Tim’s honesty when it came to recommending bait and tackle. He only showed me the things that he knew were going to catch fish. He said, “I can try to sell you a $30.00 lure. But I know that this $3.00 fly/bait is going to catch just as many or even more fish.” Nice to see and hear these days. If you are thinking about coming here, just do it! You won’t be disappointed!

unfortunately it seems as if twin lakes is adopting the same policies and moral ethics as Annettes mono village located above them. We've been coming to twin lakes for over 10 years as a family and have never had any issues. We loved it here. It's becoming more difficult to get any kind of reservation at twin lakes resort so we "settled" for Annette's mono village a mile above them. We had the worst experience of our lives and we're treated so badly at Annette's mono village. Shortly after we left there I visited the twin lakes store to reserve our usual cabin, this time I spoke with the girls up front and spent about 20 min reserving a cabin. We reserved a cabin OVER A YEAR IN ADVANCE. We got our reservation slip, confirmed everything. And we're pleasantly on our way. Fast forward 3 months after and I receive a email from twin lakes stating that our reservation couldn't be fulfilled and was cancelled. This was very disappointing because it used to be such a beautiful place and for the most part it still is. But over the years the friendliness of staff and fishing has declined immensely. If you don't live in Bridgeport or are a tourist you're definitely treated as an outsider.

Great cabins away from the road but close to lake. Older but nicely updated. Great bed and lighting. Well stocked kitchen. Very quiet day and night. Situated in the aspens. Very private. We stayed in cabin 1. Nice to be away from the more busy Mono Village at the upper lake.

The peole at Twin Lake Resort are my heros. My car key/fob fell out of my pocket while kayaking. Panic time. My wallet & cell phone were locked in the car. Marcy & Luis were up front and ready to help. When I was flustered, Luis helped me wade through their bureaucracy and get in contact with AAA. Not once but several times. In the end, AAA did not send help. Turns out help was already at hand. My hero Luis miraculously unlocked my car. What a relief. Using my cell phone, I called family who drove a backup key/fob to the resort. Bottom line, these most friendly people made the extra effort to help a guest in trouble. And I had only rented a kayak for a few dollars. Make sure that you stop by and say "Hi" to Marcy & Luis. Have lunch at the Resort. Shop in the store & spend some time in one of California's outstanding destinations. Huge fish were swimming around the docks!
