Ulasan Hostel Folks

Lokasinya bagus. Dapurnya kecil, tetapi ruang publiknya besar, kamarnya juga besar, dan handuk disediakan. Dekat dengan berbagai tempat wisata, dan kamarnya juga memiliki loker yang dapat dikunci untuk penyimpanan barang bawaan.

Agak aneh karena resepsionisnya tidak selalu ada staf. Disambut oleh petugas kebersihan yang sama sekali tidak bisa berbahasa Inggris. Saya kira itu hal yang wajar karena hostel ini berskala kecil.

Luar biasa. Saya sangat merekomendasikannya. Sangat bersih, pemiliknya menunggu saya sampai larut malam untuk datang dari bandara. Dia sangat sopan dan profesional, menunjukkan tempat-tempat yang saya butuhkan, membantu mengarahkan saya ke toko yang buka 24/7 karena saya lupa membawa beberapa barang di rumah. Kamar dan tempatnya termasuk yang terbersih yang pernah saya lihat. Kamar yang sangat luas. Kenyataan bahwa saya berbagi kamar dengan orang lain sama sekali tidak mengganggu saya meskipun saya belum pernah melakukannya sebelumnya. Tempatnya bagus, saya mungkin akan memesan lagi.

Tempat ini berlokasi di pusat semua transportasi dan tempat wisata, semuanya dapat ditempuh dengan berjalan kaki.

Ada kafe gratis, dan tempatnya sangat bersih dan higienis. Fasilitasnya juga sangat bagus dan saya bisa menginap dengan nyaman. Saya merekomendasikannya.

The hostel was clean and it was near the city centre of Bratislava. The owner was super friendly too. I got a room upgrade as the mixed dorms were occupied by a group. A fan was provided during the summer hear and it helps a lot. Rea and coffee outside was free. Overall, a very good choice if you are travelling to Bratislava.

The location was perfect with the tram and bus stop just around the corner. There are many halal food shop available too. There is SPAR within 5 minutes walk too. But the toilet available is only 1 for female. There are many shower stalls available tho even though they did not provided soap. And no slippers too. The bed and pillow is so soft and comfortable.

This is my first time in Bratislava so I was a bit worried when I realized I would be arriving hours later than originally planned, and that the reception would be closed (closes at 10pm). The very nice person who messaged me about my arrival at Hostel Folks/Folks Hostel was kind enough to check me in, leave the key on the desk for me, and send me instructions for how to get in and which room & bed were for me. I found it all easily, and was impressed by the positive energy and the cleanliness. Also, my room (6-bed room) was HUGE! All of my luggage fit into the locker, and the bed was comfy. The showers and toilets were clean, the kitchen nice and neat, and the room with all the tables is ample in size. I would 100% return to this hostel if I ever have the opportunity to return. Oh, also, there is a stack of maps on the reception counter, and a vending machine in the common room.

Hostel Folks is located right in the center of Bratislava, very convenient for visiting the city's most famous attractions. It's situated on the second floor of an old building and has about 10 rooms, including dormitories for 6 and 8 people. Toilets are shared by all rooms (4 toilets, divided into separate areas for men and women), bathrooms are shared (4 for women and 3 for men), there's a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, shared lounge with TV, sofa, etc. Free tea and coffee are provided. I think this place is more suitable for young people and groups of students to hang out together... rather than families. The facilities are a bit old, but adequate. The location is really good and convenient for sightseeing. Security is also quite good. It's suitable for young people who want to travel between cities in Europe, want a good location, and save money.

😔 I’m really sorry to say this, but unfortunately I have to leave a negative review for this hostel. First, the positives: ✅ Large rooms ✅ Very friendly staff ✅ Excellent location ✅ Great price Everything would honestly be perfect… BUT there is one massive problem. 🚨 The sanitary conditions here are absolutely unacceptable. In my opinion, health and safety authorities should seriously inspect this place. It’s unbelievable that on one entire floor — with what felt like 100–200 male guests staying there at the same time — there is ONLY ONE toilet. And that toilet is tiny, almost like an airplane bathroom… actually even less comfortable than on a plane. ✈️🚽 I have traveled a lot around the world and I have NEVER seen something like this before. One toilet for an entire hostel floor is simply shocking and completely unreasonable. Without this issue, I would have gladly recommended this hostel, because many things are really good. But basic sanitary facilities are essential, and unfortunately because of this I cannot recommend this place and I will never come back. ❌

Very new and clean spacey hostel, suitable for female solo travel, close too all destinations and photo spots. Highly recommended:)

Slovakia is small, so it’s easy to get around the city—either by walking or by bus for just a few stops. As a solo traveller, I really recommend this hostel. There’s also a laundry service (for €5). My clothes came back fresh and smelled really good—thank you for taking care of them. The hostel is tidy and neat, and the people I met here were friendly and kind. Everyone follows the rules and respects others. One more thing—the common area is super comfy and spacious. Plus, you can leave your luggage here for free if you have an early check-in or late check-out.

I really love the location here since it is very close from the tram stop and city centrum. This hostel also provides free laundry by ourselves. Special appreciation for the night staff who waited for me because my train got delays from Budapest
