There is a blowup mattress in the closet that can fit in the bonus room for extra sleeping. As the adults enjoy time together downstairs, the ambiance is set for laughter, conversation, and cherished moments. Our home features three comfortable bedrooms downstairs, ensuring everyone's restful sleep. The back porch is perfect for al fresco dining and barbecues, and the dock over the Deschutes River provides the perfect spot for fishing, launching our canoe, or enjoying the view. Please note, even in the Summer months the evenings can be chilly, and recommend warming layers. Speaking of the Deschutes River, it's ready to be your playground. Bring your own floating devices or paddleboard or paddle in our two canoes while immersing yourself in the river's embrace. In our home, we celebrate the harmony between human comfort and the rhythms of nature. Embrace the embrace of mosquitoes and the occasional spiders and insects as part of the tapestry of life here. Nature, in all its forms, is a cherished companion on this journey. We will provide bug repellent, but recommend bringing your own bug anti-itch cream during the Spring and Summer months. Embrace the wild harmonies of nature as you explore the Deschutes River and the surrounding landscapes. Our home is a gateway to both adventure and serenity, offering you the chance to immerse yourself in Oregon’s natural wonders. You have access to the entire house, however, there are a few cabinets in the garage, laundry room, and bathrooms that are locked or have a note indicating "not for guest use". In the bay area of the garage, it is roped off and not for guests to enter or use any of those items in that area. Canoes are available for use and located on the side of the house. Life jackets and paddles are located in the garage in the cabinet. There is also a cart to load the canoe if you prefer not to carry it. Right next door is a covered picnic area, boat ramp, and basketball hoop that you are welcome to use. We ask you to respect the space and make sure not to leave any items there after use and pack out any garbage. Due to our remote location, the Internet provider is Starlink. Wi-Fi speed is 50-500 mb. This can fluctuate during routine maintenance. Works well for checking emails and zoom calls.There is a printer onsite, an Epson ET-2850, is located upstairs in the 5-bedroom inside the entertainment center cabinet. We've supplied a few sheets of copy paper, but if you anticipate printing multiple pages, we recommend bringing your own copy/printing paper. Cozy A frame cabin set in a quiet neighborhood among the pine trees just a short walk from the Deschutes River. The Black Duck Cabin is a perfect destination for all of Central Oregon's amazing activities. 10 minute drive to Sunriver Village, 30 minute drive to Mt. Bachelor, 30 minutes to Downtown Bend, 10 minute walk to the Deschutes River, golfing, fishing, hiking, shopping, mountain biking, all a short drive. If you're looking for a rustic, cabin experience this is the place for you! When you walk in the front door of our cabin you'll find a cozy living space. The lower level is a great place to relax, play games, read a book, eat and drink, all while being close to family and friends. There is a comfy oversized couch with a pull out bed and a beautiful leather chair right next to the wood burning stove. In the corner of the same room is our breakfast/dining nook with seating for 4 and then 2 bar stools at the counter. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook a meal while being close to family and friends. There is a drip coffee maker as well as a french press. Down the short hallway is the master bedroom with a queen size bed, 43 inch smart TV, phone/device chargers, and a closet. The small but functional bathroom is across the hall, stocked with towels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, and blow dryer. The shower has hot water and good water pressure but it is small. From the main living space there are stairs that lead to the loft. Due to the A frame construction the stairs are a little steeper than normal. Once upstairs you'll find a full size bed, twin size bed, night stand, phone chargers, and luggage racks. There is a sliding door that leads to the balcony that overlooks the backyard. The backyard is fully fenced in and includes a jacuzzi and a fire pit with seating around it. There is also a shed with 2 full size kayaks and one inflatable kayak(for kids). The front porch is my favorite place. It has two rocking chairs that look out into the beautiful trees. Please know the cabin has original hardwood floors and was built in the early 1980's. It is meant to be cozy and rustic. While staying at the Black Duck Cabin you will have access to the entire 1/2 acre property. It includes the cabin itself and the detached 2 car garage. The garage door openers will be left on the counter (Please don't forget to leave them when you checkout). Please park in the garage if you would like. The property also comes with river access. If you go to the end of the driveway and turn right you will come to a trail head on National Forest land. Take the trails down to the river (10-15 minute walk). It also comes with access to the private marina (boat launch and dock). The placard for your vehicle will be left on the counter as well. Directions to the marina will be in the welcome book. Please be careful when walking around the edges of the A frame roof. The corners are low and very easy to bump your head on ( I know from experience). It's definitely not expected but if you do use firewood from the porch and from the rack inside could you please replenish it from the stacked wood in the front yard. Again if you're not able to please disregard. We definitely want you to have a great time at the cabin but please no loud parties. We still have not met the neighbor to the left when looking at the street, but from what we've been told he is never there. Everything you need and nothing you don't, this home has three bedrooms with quality queen mattresses and a large sectional in the living room. The primary bedroom has an attached bath with a triple headed tile shower and is separated from the other two bedrooms. There are three TVs, one in the living room, one in the primary bedroom and one in the second bedroom. They are all smart TV's with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. The kitchen is well equipped complete with a Cuisinart pour over style coffee maker. The vaulted ceiling creates an airy, spacious feeling in the open living room, dining room and kitchen area. This opens via French doors to the covered back deck that has a propane grill and outdoor dining table. We have a covered front and back deck to enjoy coffee or an afternoon drink. The 1/2 acre lot boasts a large back yard that is perfect to enjoy the hot tub, BBQ grill or extra large fire pit. Lay in the hammock out front or in the back and enjoy a good book. We have a paddle board, a fishing kayak and a tandem kayak for your use as well as four bikes available. We have private neighborhood access to the Deschutes River less than a mile away with easy to walk streets. Close to restaurants and the Sunriver Country Store for your convenience. The High Lakes, Mt. Bachelor and downtown Bend are all within thirty minutes. Visit the High Desert Museum, the Lava Cast Forest or the Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory for close by adventures.
