We are also a short walk to the famous Downtown Pedestrian Mall with wonderful local boutiques; live music at The Jefferson Theater or Sprint Pavilion (Downtown Amphitheatre); theater, comedy, or opera at The Paramount Theater and live arts; Violet Crown Cinema, delicious dining options, gelato, and the Charlottesville Visitor Center. Many of Charlottesville's most popular attractions (Monticello/Ashlawn) are no more than 5 miles away. The wine culture here has gained national acclaim and tasting rooms at local wineries such as Veritas, Barboursville, Pollack, White Hall, Keswick, Jefferson, Glass House along with the burgeoning brewery tours of places like Blue Mountain Brewery, Three Notch'd, Devils Backbone, Champion, and Wild Wolf are within a 10-30 minutes drive and make for memorable day-trips.
