La Maison Bastide

As we were in town for the rugby we didn’t get to spend much time here, but what we did was spot on. Hosts let us leave our bags early which was super useful, furnished us with directions and were extremely welcoming. Short walk to the centre of town and extremely handy for tramline A which runs all the way to the airport in about 45 minutes. Very well priced as well, circa £120 for a room that could sleep 3.

This bed and breakfast of five suites is in a wonderful location for visiting all the sights of Bordeaux, just across the bridge from the Old Town. Four tram stops from the centre of town, you can also walk or cycle on bike paths all the way. Patricia and Christophe were welcoming and helpful hosts. The accomodation was very quiet, elegant and superbly comfortable. The breakfast was generous and varied. We stayed a week and it was hot, so we really appreciated the pool, shaded terrace and the air-conditioning. There is one suite on the ground floor, the rest are on the first floor.

The absolutely perfect spot to spend a few days in Bordeaux. Location: brilliant. Outside of the centre of town which meant it was quiet, but only round the corner from the tram/ bikes to get in to the centre proper. Near bars and supermarkets. Super convenient but also so peaceful. Accommodation and facilities: Faultless - we stayed for one night in a different room (due to flight changes) and then 5 days in the studio. Lovely room, clean and cool. Appreciated having the kitchenette for nights we wanted to stay in. Good shower! Patricia and Christophe share their terrace and garden with visitors - and we definitely took advantage! Lovely to take a dip in the plunge pool, sit and read a book, and eat and drink on the terrace. Breakfast: delicious - Patricia serves up something different every day, with a good supply of very decent coffee! I don't eat dairy but a good supply of fresh bread with homemade jam kept me very happy, whilst my husband tucked into pastries and homemade yoghurt. And best of all Patricia - she is so kind and friendly and goes out of her way to make your holiday the best it can be. We cannot thank her enough for her help with everything from finding us a bottle opener, to booking taxis, and sending on forgotten towels! I will be back for sure!

Es hat alles gestimmt: Die Lage ist perfekt - das Haus liegt in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel. Dennoch ist das Stadtzentrum in knapp 1/2 Stunde zu Fuß erreichbar. Mit der Tram ist man in wenigen Minuten dort. Patricia und Christophe sind ausgezeichnete Gastgeber. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Première expérience en maison d'hôte réussie pour mon compagnon et moi-même. La maison est au calme (dans un quartier légèrement isolé certes), décorée avec goût et parfaitement entretenue. Le tram est à proximité. Patricia est une hôtesse très chaleureuse, toujours aux petits soins et de bons conseils pour ses hôtes. Nous avons réservé la Charleston qui est magnifiquement décorée avec une literie de qualité (ce qui est non négligeable après une journée à explorer la ville !). Le petit déjeuner est servi selon l'heure souhaitée par les convive avec beaucoup de produits fait maison. Si nous repassons à Bordeaux nous retournerons à la Maison Bastide ça ne fait aucun doute !

4 jours passés sur place pour affaires . Des hôtes très sympathiques et attentionnés. Les chambres ( j'en ai changé en cours de séjour à cause d'une réservation trop tardive pour conserver la même) sont décorées avec raffinement, la literie est très confortable et l'endroit très calme. Une situation permettant de se rendre facilement et rapidement en centre ville à pied. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et remarquable, puisque constitué de produits frais et pour la plupart élaborés sur place. Pas de doute, si je dois revenir à Bordeaux, je sais où je dormirai.
