It is difficult to describe how bad our experience was at this hotel. On our first full day there the pipe burst under the bathroom sink, flooding not only the bathroom but also the bedroom itself. We had to move all our things over to another room after having fully unpacked ourselves. I suppose it was lucky that there was that room open. But the worst problem was that out of 4 nights that we were here, on not a single night was the Wifi working. We complained about this the first day, and yet the Wifi for FOUR DAYS was not fixed. This was both terrible and absurd. I had to work and was not able to for any of the four days because of the nonexistent connection. I asked for a partial refund because of this and was denied, despite that it would essentially constitute false advertising. Lastly, the hotel offered us a taxi service to take us directly from the airport to the hotel, which I later found out was TWICE the price of what one could pay with other services for the same distance. Add this to the list of ways people attempt to rip you off when you’re a tourist arriving to a Latin-American airport. One bonus, as if they hadn’t outdone themselves: This is nominally a “twin room,” but what they don’t tell you is that the second bed is a slender little portable furnishing; it barely fits a person. Don’t expect that both people in a “twin room” here will sleep comfortably. Neither was this little portable furnishing ever pictured in the listing. Overall just bad experience. Management made no attempt to make this up to us or reconcile with us. The one silver lining is that the young lady at the reception desk was absolutely lovely and did her best to improve our stay at this hotel.
