Thistle Dhu Guest House

Lost count how many times myself and my husband have stayed at Thistle Dhu, the wonderful hosts Jackie and Russ are now more friends than hosts. The Hotel is very comfortable and clean, with great powerful showers, the bar has a great atmosphere, and priced nicely, some lovely locals use the bar and they have become great acquaintances too, everyone is made to feel extremely welcome here, we will continue to return most definitely its like our second home. Clean and tidy room , tea ,coffee , biscuit’s and believe it or not sweets waiting in the room on arrival.The shower was powerful and hot . The bed was clean and super comfy . The hosts Jackie and Russell ( jaqrussel) were superb . Me and the missus have been to Blackpool on numerous occasions and have stayed at various places trying to find the go to place well I can tell we need look no further as we can’t wait to return …….. 10 out of 10

Fantastic guesthouse with wonderful landlady. Warm and friendly welcome, comfy room and excellent small touches. Perfect location halfway between town and the Pleasure Beach. Set back far enough to be quiet in the evenings but still just off the main street for easy access. Will visit again.

Fantastic place to stay,couldn't ask for better hosts, Jacqui & Russ were friendly and made our stay relaxed and enjoyable, lovely clean rooms and asked each day by a polite young girl if we needed anything, e.g Towels , bedding. You have your own door key so you feel safe to leave belongings in the room.Shower room and toilet were clean and in great working order. Breakfast was delicious made by Russ , a breakfast buffet consisting of hot breakfast ,cereal ,yogurt ,fruit, unlimited supply of tea ,coffee ,and cappuccino. It has its own bar where you can sit, relax and drink, it also has a choice of games and a pool table. Jacqui and Russ also have a lovely pub called the Jaq Russell which is a two minute walk away, the pub has a relaxing atmosphere where you are able to have a drink , it's friendly and welcoming, night time they have a DJ and karaoke which made it into a really fun night,We will be going back ,Thank you Jacqui and Russ for making our weekend so good. Just returned from a great weekend with another couple, the hosts here were fantastic, nothing was any trouble, we had room 10 & was spotless with extra personal touches. Perfect location for our needs & breakfast was 1 of the best I’ve had! Will certainly be returning, thanks for the welcoming hospitality x

Just come back from a 3 night stay in the thistle dhu Hotel! Can't complain about anything! Really lovely warm welcome when we arrived,very attentive to me an my boy throughout an helped us out with what we needed! Immaculately clean throughout,hand sanitisers and wet wipes all around the hotel! The beds are super super comfy with amazing pillows! Woke up covered in sweat every morning due to being that snug! Never have I been asked do I want anything doing in my room,asked every day was there anything we needed! Breakfast was absolutely to die for an was more than enough,help yourself breakfast! All was hot an loads of options to choose from! Jacqui is such a good host,a real down to earth woman who always chatted to us! Really felt like we were visiting old friends! Location is great,coral Island literally 5 mins down the road an not even 5 mins on the tram to pleasure beach! Cannot fault this place at all! Added bonus was meeting socks and guineas,the owners dogs! This was an added bonus for my 8 year old who loved when they came to say hello! Will defo be back!! Thanks for a lovely experience!
