Blackpool Promenade Hotel

This is the kind of place you wipe your feet on the way out! Avoid at all cost! We booked this hotel for a one night stay over New Years through ***********. The photos on the website looked great. Simple but clean and all we needed just for a one night stay. Biggest catfish going! When we arrived at “reception” the manager didn’t greet us or barley acknowledge us. We were then taken up to our rooms. While walking through the corridor it smelt musky, damp and we could smell ****. Soon as we walked in the room we saw the absolute state they were in. Nothing like the photos. The shower was full of mould and painted tiles. God knows why you think that was a good idea! A Prison shower is cleaner. Everything that was metal was rusted! Yes, even the curtain pole. The carpets were thread bare and even a dried up bogey on the bathroom tiles. You could say that the sea room view was probably the best part of the room but you couldn’t even see it for all the dirt inside and out. Oh and the bird poo. And oh not to forget to mention the actually bird feathers inside the room. We were in the room for less than 15 minutes due to the health and safety risks here. We went back to speak to the owner/ management to tell them we were not happy with the room and that we want a full refund. I even showed them the image of what they said the bathroom was on their website and then showed them the actual shower image we were greeted too. (Photos below) The staff member said nothing… say no more! When we asked for a refund the staff member told us to go through ***********. Fun fact … by opening a complaint through *********** the hotel won’t respond and by not responding they don’t get to refund you, they just keep your money. *********** should even be showing this hotel on their website which is not acceptable. We were then escorted out of the hotel through the back door as if we did something wrong! Thank god we decided to leave straight away because that place definitely has bed bugs, you can find out more by looking at the hundreds of more bad reviews below ours. I usually don’t leave reviews but I am a honest person and if you take one line from my review or the the other hundreds below… DON’T BOOK THIS “HOTEL”

DON'T STAY HERE This hotel is horrendous freezing cold, filthy, disgusting and needs to be shut down. I believe the owner must be a con man as he never made an appearance when we demanded to see him. We were told he would meet us at this hotel when we arrived but never showed as he was in Leeds. Just sent 2 girls to try and sort about 30 adults out who all wanted their money back. And now he refuses to answer his phone. The rooms were filthy with stained bedding and toilet seat hanging off. Please avoid this hotel like the plague it should be closed down. Too many people have all said the same thing why is he still allowed to take people's money and get away with it?

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK OR STAY HERE!!! Absolute disgrace and should not be open. I don’t even know where to start…..you only need to look at the pictures! On arrival waited 30 minutes for someone to check us in & weren’t even told where to go! Smashed doors & windows. Cigarettes ends all over carpets along with rubbish. Carpet was soaking wet as you walked along the water was squishing over trainers. Room next to ours the ceiling had collapsed with water pouring out. The smell of ****, damp and god knows what was disgusting. Nails and rubbish under beds. I fell down 3 steps due to the carpet not being attached to floor. 11 of us left straight away and luckily found another hotel to accommodate us (unfortunately cost us a lot more due to short notice) THIS HOTEL IS NOT SAFE AND IVE REPORTED TO ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH.

Cold filthy and rude young lady at reception, the carpet has never seen a hoover in god knows how long,dirty toilets, broken windows lifts out of order, unstayable so say the least, we wrote this place off and moved to warmer climates losing what we have paid but will have a fight with *********** We have been going to Blackpool since 1988 and this hotel come joint bottom of the list jesmond hotel, needs closing down asap !

Well where do i start first of all dont book in this hotel its hotel from hell turned up on 11 march when owner was to meet our group of 37 but did not turn up frist of all no keys gents toilets dirty no heating bar was crap vending machine nearly empty bedrooms freezing no heating and no refund from owner hotel from hell wants closing down and petrol to burn it down as ower doesn't give a monkeys

The place stunk of mold, it was dirty, cold. No heating, we was offered a tiny heater in the dirty bedroom, the bedding was filthy covered in hairs. ***** being smoked. Stinking out all the other rooms, en-suite didn’t exist. I don’t recommend it needs closing down, it is a health hazard.
