The Feathers Hotel

This has to be the worst B&B I have ever stayed in!! The staff didn't know what day it was, The building its self was unsafe with sockets hanging off the walls. The state of the place in general was disgusting!!! We all know what B&B stand for ?? Bed & breakfast!!! Well they don't do breakfast & my bed had the biggest hole in it with a kitchen door & some strips of wood on it!!! Needless to say I didn't sleep very well!!! This was the pits!!! Not fit for humanity to stay in!!! I've stayed in lovely B&Bs in Blackpool & yes you get what you pay for. But this is just needs the doors closing for good. I can not stress how disgusting this place is!! From divan beds with holes in to bathroom units hang on off the wall to walking in my room to find the bed not made,used towels thrown all over the room & shower cubical that had more mould in it than water. Exposed pipes & damaged electrical sockets everywhere.

Wouldn’t go again bed room very small bathroom very small and horrible. No heating and if it was put on it would be dangerous cause the bed is touching the radiator. There’s no bar or breakfast which IT says there is on a write up on google regarding the hotel.cheap hotel but not a nice room all atmosphere.

To start off, we arrived at the hotel at 4.15PM to be told that one of our rooms were ready and one was not. Check in is from 3pm. The owner told us to give him 5 minutes as he was just finishing cleaning. We had booked two rooms, a double room and a family room. The double room was ready on arrival but on inspection there was a dirty towel in the bathroom, toilet and shower was stained, coffee and tea in room but no cups, mugs or spoons. Dirty bedding covered in stains and hair. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and skirting boards were caked in dust. At 5.45 our family room was ready - 2 hours 45 minutes after check in time. We were all tired after our long drive and just wanted a lie down. We went in, there was no towels in the bedroom, again wallpaper peeling on the roof and walls and skirtings boards disgusting. Mirrors and windows were smeared with marks. No toilet roll in room had asked owner for more but never got it. Had to buy our own. Our room key was also not given to us as door was already open and owner was certain he had given us it. The family room is the same room that we have stayed in previously 2 years ago and reported a leaking shower which is still leaking now. All in all cleanliness of the hotel has dropped dramatically since our last visit and we will not be returning under any circumstances. This has now caused us to leave the hotel early and go home as our holiday experience has been ruined.

Stayed here with 3 other lads for my stag do. In the nicest way possible, for a B&B/hotel in Blackpool it did the job. Thought the manager in charge was a good bloke, I came back to the hotel both nights without the other lads and both times he let me into the room without the need for waiting for them with a key. The 2nd night he even extended our check out til 11am cos I think he knew there would be a few casualties in the morning 😂 We stayed in the feathers suite downstairs and it was very modern, the beds were comfy and the facilities were good. The only grumble, if you can even call it that, would be that the shower didn’t have a door so the floor was always sopping wet (there was also no towel changes from one day to the next) and the main bedroom with the 2 double beds was situated right by the front of the hotel so you could hear pretty much everything and anything going on outside the front of the hotel. Would stop again.

MADE US FEEL REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! Walked in the hotel and it stank like ****!! Was not impressed. There were signs all over saying no smoking yet people were clearly smoking in there rooms and none of the staff did anything! Really disappointed with the room, hair on wall in bathroom, wall paper had been stuck together with Sellotape!! Blind was broken! Bathroom door wouldn’t close at all!! Sink tap was broken!! Nice to see a kettle, however, couldn’t fill to the max as the sink was so small! I wouldn’t recommend staying here, put a whole downer on our trip!!

Was a good stay and very affordable and clean. But the only let down was the decor in the rooms and the lack of staff around the hotel but however for the price we paid we couldn’t really complain as it was in a great location and only a 5 mins walk from the promenade and perfect with a car park just 2 mins away and another just 5 mins away.
