Our king suite was great very roomy. Sheets were crisp and bed was very comfortable. Lobby is welcoming and staff very friendly.

Stay was fine. One shortcoming is no in-room coffee and no fridge. No place to put a bottle of wine or keep a piece of leftover steak.

The staff at the Northern is top notch. Shelby at the front desk is so accommodating and welcoming, you can tell that she loves her job.
The location is great for shopping downtown and taking in events and the Ten lounge is a great place to relax and have a nice cocktail or dinner. Bernie’s has excellent breakfast and lunch options as well.

We stayed here due to the location. We had a wedding close by to go to. The room was tiny. It was clean and the beds were comfortable but for the price the room size was absurd. No coffee pot in the rooms or refrigerator. The rest of the hotel was nice. But for over a couple hundred dollars it would be nice to have even just a refrigerator and coffee pot.

From Valet parking to the front desk staff, staff were courteous and helpful. Rooms were very clean, and cozy. Able to walk to all of our destinations downtown.

Great hotel with very friendly staff and great to have a bar and restaurant available in the hotel. Didn’t care for the parking situation but after walking through the snow and ice to get to the hotel from the parking garage we found out about the valet parking and used that for the rest of our stay.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past. Mostly on business trips. It was one of my favorite hotels out of many around the country. I stopped traveling to Billings about 4 years ago, so when I had the opportunity after all that time, I reserved the Northern. Unfortunately it has not faired well. Rooms are showing their age. Dirty, holes in the hallway walls, stains on the wallpaper, tears in lamp shades, etc. There is a parking garage next door which is convenient and supposed to be free to guests. The pass didn’t work and when I brought it up at checkout, the desk clerk said management was specific that employees were not to reimburse for the known problem. $15 a day, not a big deal, but it sealed the decision to stay somewhere else when in Billings. Sad to see, what used to be an amazing experience turned into a mismanaged property and we paid a premium to stay there.
