Sandy Glade Holiday Park

The park is actually OK and the staff are friendly. The issue is the standard of accommodation. I booked a Platinum +caravan and was shocked at how much it differs from the brochure. On arrival I went straight to reception asking if there had been a mistake as it wasn't anything like I thought I was getting and lacked all the extras ie free fitting furniture,dishwasher, TV in the bedroom etc. It turns out that when you book and pay for what you think is the best if you read the small print the only guarantee is that it will be one of their newer models.

Had the best time, 90s weekend.... chalets need updating and mold proofing, bed comfy but narrow ( ended up pushing to singles together, marks on the dinning room table paint and marks, broken leg chair just little things, but u get what u pay for, this didn't bother me. Entertainment was amazing Saturday and Sunday. Staff very friendly made us feel welcome. Rosie and kerion I think they names where amazing, full of life and energy, professional ( as they could be with a load of us that grow up in the 90s ) looking forward to next year sorry guys u have us for a week

Very enjoyable and extremely affordable break. A great base from which to explore and really k Kelly staff especially Shelley, Sean and the Scottish manager. Went as a family 2 adults and 3 children 9/10/11. Stopped in chalet 109 spotlessly clean, spacious and equipped with all you need. On site the food at the cafe is nice, huge portions of chips, pizza best value and very tasty. Simple cafe food, affordable. Bar less so, £23 for a bottle of Prosecco which seemed excessive. The arcade is good for little children, better value at Stardust 15min walk towards Brean, but again very clean and the staff were helpful. Bingo tickets £12 full book and cash only when we were there and we won! £149.86 for a line, less on Sunday but the entertainment space was small and well kept by staff and security. The pool is a good size, can be booked on the app (40 people a session) one hour slots (couldn’t book twice in one day so a fair system). Water colder but it was first day and has a glass ceiling so I am sure that will be different in a few days. No doubt people will complain, but for a £50 a night for 3 bedroom chalet that has been kept clean and painted I can cope with a touch of paint on the spotlights! Lots of bins and recycling bins available, little children’s entertainment was fun and they work hard with a full size mascot each night for the disco etc. Shop is reasonable and has anything you may have forgotten, shops not far anyway. Really nice place, much better than the Pontins nearby which I have been to a couple of times. Imagine busy in summer, need to go about 5pm to have seats for the 7.30 bingo lol.

A lovely little get away for a reasonable price. We have been coming to Somerset for a few years now, but this was our first time staying at John fowler. For the price we paid, for 3 adults, 2 children and 2 pets, there’s not much to complain about. When arriving we were greeted by a lovely gentleman, I want to say his name was David. He checked us in, and explained everything to us, then whenever we saw him around the site, always said hello and was very friendly. We stayed in a pet value chalet, it was clean, tidy, and great for resting our heads. Another member of staff who was brilliant was Shelley on reception, she was such a sweetheart, and was brilliant when we decided to come back next year with basically the whole family. She booked our holiday, making sure we were all near eachother. A credit to the team. The site overall was lovely, swimming pool did the job, however the first time we went there was only one lifeguard, who left the pool unattended a couple of times. The second time there was 2 which was a lot better. The entertainment of an evening was great, I feel like they could do a bit more for children though as it didn’t seem like much. Overall we had a very lovely week, and look forward to coming back.

Basic accommodation, but value for money for a short family break. Staff were great and met all our needs. Entertainment was fab for all ages. Family friendly and great value for money! A great base for burnham and brean. Will definately be back.

Fabulous accommodation very clean terrible changing facilities at the pool and stone cold,clubhouse way too small for the site can’t get in there especially with a double pram my daughter got twins. ideally located.food is absolutely disgusting my son took it back and asked for a refund and the manager threatened him he told him to get out or he’d report and get kicked off the site. We been 4 times and that last time was the last always had nice food in the past but the was outrageous over a pot of curry and cold chips won’t be back
