wohkoon zhexingsun youth hotel(Beijing Sanlitun Taikoo Li Branch)

The room was clean and comfortable eve though it’s quite small. However for a youth hostel the individual dorm room was great for privacy and having a place to get dressed. Location is perfect, right in the middle of Sanlitun with great restaurants and activities.

It is smaller than I expected when it’s passable for a one night stay. They are very strict about 2pm check in so don’t try your luck going earlier. It’s a hostel so nothing is provided, everything comes with a cost if you need to purchase. But it’s convenient that they sell instant food as well. The only convenience about the location is that it is near the BRT. It is located within the hotel on the 8th floor.

For the location and the price, it is the perfect deal. You are right on Sanlitun shopping district AND 10 seconds away from the railway. For the quality of the hostel itself, it's pretty decent. They have strict quiet hours which everyone followed even on a friday and saturday night which is super nice. They offer free washer and DRYER which is super rare to find in China. They also offer free hot water and pretty much every amenity possible (for a price). My only complaint is the bathrooms and shower room smelled pretty bad. And the toilet area was not the cleanest I've seen either. They had an air refresher for both regions but it either was making the smell worse or was too weak to counter the smell because it smelled horrible the entire 4 days I was there. Also no soap was provided at the sinks, so bring your own. That being said I definitely would stay here again, the pros greatly outweigh the cons

I honestly don't know what kind of sociopath can concieve a space like this. I got upgraded into a room with no Windows, 5squared meters for 2 persons. I now know how it feels being in a coffin. Online rooms looked bigger. Beds are very hard to sleep on. No hand soap in the toilet, no towels provided. The reception didn't try enough to meet my requests for information. FOREIGNERS THAT DO NOT SPEAK CHINESE DON'T GO THERE. I originally planned to stay 4 nights, but I checked out immediately early in the morning after only one night to go to a better place.
