Hotel Dekat Pantai di Koh Chang

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, with a stunning view that made every morning special. The facilities were excellent — the pool area was relaxing and well maintained, and there were plenty of comfortable spots to unwind. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. Everything felt thoughtfully planned to ensure guests have a memorable experience.

First of all, this is not a 4 star hotel as advertised. Judging by the room, we got it is a struggling 2 star hotel. The walls are thinner than a phone, and the security of the rooms is quite poor. The resort checks all the boxes, but everything is half baked. The restaurant is average, with 50% of its menu missing. We ordered just a bit spicy papaya salad and received Super spicy…, as I said, it's just an average two star hotel with some extra amenities. The closest 7-11 is around a kilometre away, and the resort shop is like a charity storage, with everything nobody wants. Just don't go there. Renting a motorbike at the hotel is almost twice as expensive. I don't know what to say, and not make it look worse. I wouldn't be coming back to this hotel. Btw, the breakfast was good.

The hotel is old, like really old, it was built in 1989 and it’s very visible. The bedsheets, towels are so old and dirty like 2 star motel. Deluxe family room looks like rooms in 1989 also. Not modern at all. We upgraded to villa (had to pay a lot for this) and it’s good, a bit old but much better, with beach view and private territory. The territory of hotel is really beautiful and big, it’s like a park and beach is great. You can also take cayak to get to the small island nearby. The birds (hornbills) that live at the hotel are really beautiful and worth seeing! Everything closes really early - even game room - it’s just a room with board games and we wanted to play there and the staff told us that they were closing at 7.30 p.m! Why not open this room until 10 at least 😀 No evening activities at all. Everything gets quiet and dead at 7 p.m. There is beach cinema announcement at reception on Sundays, but when we arrived on Sunday, the staff told us that there will be no movies 🫣 Отель очень старый, просто древний, постельное белье и полотенца в ужасном состоянии. Семейный номер на горе - это просто ужас. Детский бассейн на горе ушатанный. Единственное достойное в этом отеле - виллы с видом на море. В них нормальная мебель, полотенца и особое меню на завтраках. Прекрасная территория и пляж. Птицы-носороги - это восторг. Обезьяны нас не беспокоили - но мы жили на вилле рядом с морем. Думаю, в лесных номерах их полно.. В 7 часов вечера в отеле все закрывается, полная тишина. Никаких развлечений. Пляж прекрасный, надеюсь, что отель займется реновацией номеров, приведением их в современный стиль.

Nice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed. Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade. If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. I would recommend Koh Kood if you are alone. Better beaches and cheaper foods

It was such a pleasant stay located in Kaibae which is my favorite area when I stay in Koh chang. The price is too good to be real comparing to what you get, free breakfast, clean nice budget room, very polite staff, great location, 4 pools in the property?? It's just insane to me!!

Definitely a perfect place for hideaway. Stayed at the garden villa with private jacuzzi, have the river +sea view from the villa. The resort is by the river and not far away from the beach. We can ride the boat provided by the hotel to the beach for free. Kayaking is available at THB 150 per hour and it’s quite fun. Location wise, there’s no 7-11 or any convenient shops within walking distance but all reachable with a motorbike, which is rentable at the lobby of the resort. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, will definitely come back!

Rooms are clean and big. Check in as check out is smooth. The bar and restaurant looks new. The rooms seems to be renoveted. But the suroundings need attention. Some parts of the wooden floor on the restaurant where shaking as we walked over it. The bathroom is updated but shower was was weak pressure and the Shower head need to be cleaned. The restaurant food was, amazing good en fair priced. Staff is helpful and friendly. Most customers where young guests and the bar near our room was a bit loud. After all it was a plus. But loved more our stay at Bang Bao, it was more peacefully and natural . We're an older couple 🙏🇹🇭

Отель отличный отдельные виллы ,стоят так как будто рядом нет никого и не кто мимо не проходит. Территория зеленая, ящерки белочки бегают, вечером летучим мыши летают) пляж красивый , сидишь себе в тени пальм))камушки при входе в море ,но если отойти правее , к кокосовой аллее то там чистое дно песочек. Завтраки хорошие большой выбор вкусный. Из минусов; далеко до всего, без байка или машины ни как, если только кушать при отеле или на берегу есть ресторанчики не далеко левее от пляжа.

Небольшой уютный отель. Уборка в номерах по запросу (у нас не убирались ни разу за 3 дня), воду и туалетную бумагу оставляли у двери. Рядом 2 супермаркета! При отеле можно арендовать байк за 200 бат. Море в 300 метрах, песчаный пляж. Каждый день слонов водят купаться в Сиамский залив. За 500 б можно устроить индивидуальную фотосессию и купание со слоном. Вечером приятно прогуляться в сторону моря и попить 🍻 (шейки, кофе...) на пирсе или кафе.
