Bathala Island Resort

We had an unforgettable holiday at Sandies Bathala. The island is beautiful with excellent reefs for snorkeling. The staff is friendly and welcoming, especially Alli in the dining area and Lappu during excursions. Wonderful and memorable holiday! Will visit again!

Booked our trip to Sandies, and am so happy we went with this resort! Upon our arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious every single day/night. We went snorkeling and the reef had beautiful fish and sea creatures. We stayed at the gorgeous water villa, which was clean and tidy, and the staff did an amazing job at maintaining that throughout our stay. The weather was absolutely stunning, we had hot days, ever day! The highlight for me was definitely how friendly the staff was!

It was a ovely resort, we experienced great diving with a phenomenal team of dive masters. It is truely a beautiful location, with pristine white sand and snorkeling right off our ocean villa! We saw tons of sea life including mantra ray, sharks, bowmouth guitar fish and moray eels

After truly admiring the crystal clear blue sea around the island , the staff being very friendly and welcoming was the second best thing. We stayed in the water villa appreciating the gorgeous view around it. There were variety of food types like seafood, Maldivian dinner and more. A huge thanks to the head chef Mahinda for the mouthwatering , delicious food. For other activities we got to take part in snorkeling, swimming, karaoke nights, and also Maldivian dinner. We also had a nice cocktail party near the beach, allowing to socialise with other staff and visitors. We also had a boat ride around the island to enjoy the beauty and witness the sunset too. All the staff members made sure that all the needs were fulfilled and to look after us all the time. We went to Sandies Bathala for a holiday as a family and I can assure you that this has been our favourite holiday so far. We were given our rooms in the water villa which gave us beautiful sceneries every time we looked out. We were surrounded by the gorgeous sea and were able to see splendid coral reefs, different and unique fish. We enjoyed our time in the swimming pool and then the sea everyday in the mornings. It was mostly enjoyed by our kids who swam the whole time. the staff and management members made sure we were comfortable while we were in the swimming pool. In the evenings we also had the opportunity to go snorkelling. With the help of some staff members they guided us through a path with beautiful corals and colourful fish. it truly felt like we were in paradise. This experience made all of us feel much closer to nature. The meals that were provided made us all feel at home. There were diverse food types and in those days we stayed we were able to enjoy freshly made meals. All the staff members and the chefs were friendly and made sure that everything was up to our satisfaction and that we were all comfortable. Our kids enjoyed the pizza and the pasta very much. In our stay we were able to witness 2 events. One where the staff were able to converse with the stay ins and the other where we were able to witness the Maldivian culture. My youngest daughter even had the chance to wear a beautiful sarong. All the staff and the management members made sure we were all comfortable throughout our whole stay. Our rooms were beautiful and they made sure we enjoyed every single ounce of our time. Unfortunately we had to bid our farewell to everyone. I can assure that we will be revisiting. What an amazing experience for our honeymoon! I cried when we had to leave! Beautiful rooms/watervillas Amazing food in the restaurant! Every night there was a different theme! The entertainment was very good! every night hosting a different kind of event. We loved Ali in the restaurant he was so funny and kind! Definitely recommend to anyone!! We swam with sharks each day around our villa and did a guided snorkel twice a day for free around the island with the girls who were amazing! They know there stuff about fish ! Would definitely recommend doing the manta ray excursion it was amazing! The manta rays are huge and once again the dive girls go above and beyond to get you the best experience Thank you so much to the sandies team.. you were all amazing !!
