Excel Milano 3 Hotel

Disastrous interaction with Demian G. Bello, Front Office Manager! I booked by mistake 2 nights at non refundable rate (10 euro lower than the regular rate) and 2 days later i asked to cancel the second night. Although I provided them with more than 7 days notice, the front desk manager did not refund the money hiding behind the excuse of company policies! Very disappointing!

I arrived as part of a group of 17 cyclists, so you can imagine the amount of bags and equipment we had. The gentleman on reception, Damien was excellent. He knew we were arriving, had all the rooms cleaned early and arranged for all the bags to be taken to the rooms. He had even identified a parking space for the support van. Thanks Damien. The rooms were more like apartments, clean and tidy. We dined at the hotel and the food was great too.

Location is Ok for someone travelling by car and not needing to be near Milano city center. There is a beautiful garden with an artificial lake in front of the hotel, as well as many facilities, such as restaurants, bars, pharmacy and supermarket, all around the block. We stayed on a Friday night and for our surprise the hotel was in the middle of a very happening night life area, with few bars around the hotel building packed with young people. Not a problem for us, on the contrary, it was nice to go down and have some beers watching the hustle and bustle. However, if you need absolute silence, be aware that weekend nights might be noisy. Easy to park in front of the hotel and to charge our Tesla (just make sure you have Enel X app or EV Way app installed, register your account, credit card, etc). Triple room was huge and with a nice balcony facing the lake. Check in and service was good, breakfast is limited due to COVID as you need to order your food at the counter. I can't comment much on the state of the hotel facilities as we arrived late at night and left early on the next day.

Appart fromnthe terrible state of the bedroom at €97 per night, wallpaper peeling of, balcony door of the 1980s so doesn't close, terrible expiriance in the bar!!! At the end of my drink I asked to pay for my drinks or be added to my room, the bar boy said I couldnt put the drinks on the room as it doesn't work, (strange) ok I pay then, he took out a small calculator, he said 2 g&t 14 each and aperol spirits 8, €36 euros, if I pay cash he would give me a discount 😳 (4start Hotel), sorry I only have a card. Took payment, and added, if you come tomorrow (quote) 2 figone preparano drinks or cocktails qui nel bar! So I reminded him that I had a lady with me, he suggested he would look after her not to worry (a lei ci Penso io) Ma Siamo pazzi!!!! IL direttore deve essere un grande incapace, dovrebbe vergognarsi per le camere del Suo albergo e assumere gente come questo esemplare Al bar. Sto barrista neanche alla stazione deve lavorare, a pulire le strade Forse ma sarebbe in insulto a quelle persone.

Bisogna innanzitutto chiarire che, aldilà del numero di stelle con qui si fregia un hotel, la valutazione deve rapportata a quanto si spende. Questo hotel sicuramente in passato meritava in pieno 4 stelle, adesso no, ma il prezzo della camera (con prenotazione anticipata) e nettamente inferiore a un 4 stelle. Io mi sono trovato bene, camere spaziose e pulite, cambio asciugamani regolare, personale gentile e disponibile (forse un receptionist poco comunicativo).Prezzo decisamente conveniente per un hotel con caratteristiche di un 4 stelle. Colazione buona e con prodotti di qualità, cameriere gentili e disponibili. Possibilità di accesso gratuito (possibilità rara) alla SPA e piscina che distano pochi metri dall'hotel. Non sono secondo me rilevanti le deficienze segnalate da altri ospiti, a meno che non si voglia il lusso e la perfezione ma in questo il prezzo da pagare è un altro.

En mi anterior reseña sobre el hotel, escrita hace ahora 7 años, decía que si volviese a la zona repetiría. Pues bien, así fue, y me veo en la necesidad de modificar la valoración. No sé si dependerá de la habitación que te toque o variará según la suerte que tengas, pero en esta ocasión la habitación no cumplió las expectativas formadas en la anterior visita. Moqueta sucia, paredes rayadas y una bolsita de gel abierta en el baño a nuestra llegada. Aún así cumple con lo suficiente para una estancia, pero no con el estándar que se esperaría a la vista de las instalaciones. La recepción, el aspecto exterior y el entorno están muy bien, pero la habitación no se correspondía con el resto, una pena.

Esperienza super negativa, la camera era spaziosa ma con quell’arredamento e quella moquette lascia il tempo che trova.. pulizia fatta troppo superficialmente con pochissima cura dei dettagli, mi hanno accreditato 16€ della colazione nonostante avessi specificato durante il check-in che non ne avrei usufruito, se fossi il direttore vedendo anche le altre recensioni 2 domande me le farei.. è un hotel da 2 stelle massimo ed è una follia far pagare queste camere pietose più di 100€ a notte.

Arriviamo in comitiva per partecipare ad un Workshop di canto. Avevamo pagato con bonifico ma alla reception ci dicono che non hanno le credenziali per darci le camere in quanto , fino al lunedì non era possibile verificare il pagamento. Il responsabile della reception in maniera molto sgarbata e sbrigativa ci chiede di rifare il pagamento seduta stante altrimenti non potevano accoglierci. Più che il contenuto ( potevamo anche comprendere ) è stato il tono con cui questa persona si è rivolta a noi trattandoci come degli scocciatori. Camere ampie ma datate e sporche. Nella colazione del mattino stessa “ gentilezza “ da parte del personale : mutacico, sgarbato e per nulla accogliente. Colazione misera e con caffè da una macchinetta vetusta che si è rotta la mattina seguente. Costo 1 notte in matrimoniale 129 euro . Disturbati dagli schiamazzi della movida fino alle 2 di notte. L’Hotel ha 4 stelle assolutamente immeritate. Da non tornare.

L'hotel si trova in un'ottima posizione centrale, al suo intorno vi sono molti servizi come un supermercato e molti bar ben forniti, è immerso in un piccolo parco con tanto di laghetto su cui fare lunghe pazzeggiate. La stanza è molto grande con tanto di tavolo e sedie e ha un ampio balcone che affaccia sul laghetto, un ambiente molto rilassante. Avrei dato cinque stelle anche allo staff, lodandolo per l'educazione e la disponibilità ma purtroppo mentre eravamo al bar a fare aperitivo uno dei camerieri ha fatto accidentalmente cadere del sale a terra e ha detto, parlano di noi, che la colpa era da attribuire ai "terroni che portano la sfiga da giù". Quindi hotel perfetto ma se siete terroni attenzione a dove lanciate il malocchio ;)
