I recently stayed at Hotel Catalunya in Barcelona and had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the main attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ensuring that my stay was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Catalunya for its excellent location, clean accommodations, and welcoming staff!

カタルーニャ広場から近く便利な場所にあるホテル 朝食のサービスはなく5-6件先に美味しいパン屋が数件あり 朝7時に開くので楽しみに行っていました。 部屋にはバスタブがありバスタブの必要なら毎日入浴できます。次回も宿泊したいと思うホテルです。

Friendly staff, clean room and central location. Fair price for location and type of hotel. Couple of complaints, walls are very thin so a restful sleep was not possible. Air conditioning wall thermostat was noisy. Smell of sewer on last day. Overall the hotel is ok.

Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, room spotlessly clean every day we stayed, clean fresh towels as and when u need them, we travelled as a family with 2 teenagers, this hotel is no frills, but exactly what’s needed for a busy weekend in the beautiful Barcelona!

Location is great, a corner from pl. Catalunya and at the beginning of the Las Ramblas The room doors have no soft close, thus everytime someone bangs the door, the whole floor literally wakes up. Also, i had an uneducated guest next door who just made my sleep a nightmare - laughing, music and more till past midnight... as if he was in my room It is a pity as the hotel has certain potential with a bit of investment

Hotel Catalunya (Barcelona) (room 205) + Location, near everything. Shopping, cafés and restaurants all around the hotel. Metro nearby. + Balcony, Refrigerator, Air-condition. + Free wi-fi. + Computer, microwave and vending mashine (broken) on the first floor. +Could check-in and got the room key before the check-in time. - The bed cover that almost all hotels have wasn't clean, had some hair on it. Why do hotels bother to even have the cover, it's never washed?!?! +/- Must show the bank card you booked and paid with online, luckily I had the receipt in my bank account I could show and had to print on their printer. Normally it's the person who got scammed and his bank that handles the issue, the hotel shouldn't care who paid and have proof of the bank card. Little noisy sometimes but it didn't bothered us.

Lovely little hotel! In the perfect location and great at the reception was staffed 24/7. Room was everything you needed, nice and clean, good Aircon and a little balcony was a lovely extra. I saw a lot of reviews about the noise, this is everywhere in this area and to be honest I found that this location wasn’t that noisy and did stop during the hours of sleep. Would definitely recommend and definitely go back when I come back to Barcelona.

Other than its fantastic location (just a couple of minutes walk to the Rambla and to Plaça de Catalunya), I would avoid this hotel. We were there two nights. The first, in a small internal (i.e. no windows) room, it was very hot and sweaty, despite a weak stream of air from a ceiling AC vent. Asked to be moved. They gladly obliged, to a corner room, also still quite hot unless we opened the windows. No breakfast offered, tiny elevator, and a luggage storage room without lock or staff monitoring. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The have no pool, no fitness room, no sauna (all OK) but they do have...a resort fee!

This is a no frills hotel. Place to sleep and that’s it. Had good water pressure in the shower if that’s important to you. Good location in the Gothic Quarter. HOWEVER, we can’t say definitely but we believe one of our credit cards was “lifted” during check.in. A day into our stay, a very sizable charge came up on our credit card and the company called us. My husband checked and sure enough the credit card was gone from his wallet. Only time his wallet was out was during check in. Again, maybe a coincidence…?

The hotel decide to cancel our room without any notice 4 days before we arrive. So we learned about the situation when we were at the front desk for the check-in, they told us that one of us cancelled the room the day before, but that was not true. So they offer us to rent another room that was much more expensive. So we decline the offer. When we came back home we were surprised that the hotel tried to pass de payment even if we didn't stayed there. No help at the front desk to see why there was a cancelation without notice, and no help to find a solution. Terrible experience with that hotel.

2 stars budget hotel with even lesser amenities than the minimum expected, like a decent size bed for a couple or noise-proof walls and windows; even for the not-so-low price. Walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbours talking, laughing, baby crying, etc! You are getting almost nothing else than a centric location to walk-by to almost every point of interest in Barcelona and nearby restaurants, stores and supermarkets. However, if you are looking for a little extra comfort and some good nights of sleep, this might not be a right choice for you and/or your family. The only elevator is tiny and claustrophobic and was out of service a couple of times during our instance here. Cleaning personnel is nice and gentle, but receptionists are not as pleasant nor attentive as expected. Anyways, if you still choose to book a room here, make sure to bring earplugs and your own shampoo/conditioner, at a bear minimum.
