We were assigned a projector room initially (ie no tv but a projector screen). Its bit dirty and run down. We are fine with it since we don't spend much time there. However, the aircon wasn't working. It auto off after 3-5min.
Told the staffs and they investigate and ended up moving us to a different room. The new room is cleaner and newer! However there is a strong smell of smoke. 😐 feedback to front desk the next morning, and they managed to remove the smell by the time I'm back to the hotel that night.

The hotel check-in experience is very good, the facilities and equipment are complete, the takeaway you order can be delivered to the room by a small robot, which is very convenient. There is a river embankment in front of the hotel. It is very comfortable to take a walk on it after dinner. The front desk service is very thoughtful, especially the front desk staff Xiao Chen and Xiao Zhu, who recommended delicious shops around me and guided the tour routes. It is really considerate. The B&B is newly opened. The French-style decoration is simple and elegant. It can be seen that the owner has a good aesthetic. Although the room is small, it is clean and tidy. All the necessary supplies are available. There is a young lady with long hair at the front desk who is very nice. When we came back from a trip on a rainy day and we didn't have an umbrella, she came out to pick us up with an umbrella. It was very considerate. Will recommend to friends

The location is very advantageous, just near the Guangji Tower in the ancient city of Chaozhou, but the surrounding environment is very quiet, and there is no noise when sleeping. You can also visit the former residence of Jao Tsung-I, which is not open to the public. I had afternoon tea in the study of the former residence, which felt very good. The hotel service is thoughtful, and the room is upgraded for free. There are snacks, fruits, afternoon tea and desserts. It is about 200 meters away from the lively pedestrian street, which is very convenient for eating. 葛葛安杰Absolutely amazing, every little detail. The hotel is charming, beautifully designed and the rooms are spacious, with every convenience of modern living - better than a five star hotel in almost every way.
The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful and have tons of very very good recommendations for restaurants and services. From drivers to rentals to the best things to see. The restaurants we tried on their recommendation were excellent. Far better quality than most on the walking street - I just wish we had more time to try them all - two days was not enough.
The rooms are perfect for two couples or a family, the bathroom has enough privacy, and they have very nice quality amenities. The air conditioners keep the room warm in winter, and the beds are very comfortable. You can also bring back food from outside to eat in the common courtyard.
Would very highly recommend this hotel if you are going to spend time in the old city. One of the best I have stayed at.

WW_HanFor its location and the exceptionally friendly and warm welcome I received during my stay, this place is not only value for money but also a place where I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. Mr Su and team made sure I knew how to navigate the alleys and streets to get around while providing me with information on attractions and food. I especially like staying in an alley where it's quiet and yet the main alley with all the local shops selling produce and snacks is just around the corner. The locals live and shop in this less touristy part of the old town.
Thank you Mr Su for upgrading me to a bigger room when it was available the next day. The water pressure on the third floor is strong with plenty of hot water. The auto flush toilet with seat warmer was also good to have. The air-conditioner is also strong enough to cool the room quickly. The disposable face and bath towels provided are thin. For those who are not used to using disposable towels, bring your own towels.

HHeng Yen LinWe spent a total of 3 nights here. This is one of the most satisfactory hotels I have ever stayed in. The hotel is so clean and new. The basic facilities are all well equipped. I have stayed in multiple 5 stars hotels and this hotel is definitely comparable to those 5 stars. The location is superb. And the breakfast is so delicious with nicely brewed coffee. The staffs at the lobby are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend my friends to stay in this hotel.

PPaul. SThe best part of this place is the location, right behind YUY Hotel at the junction of Paifang Street (Taiping Rd) and Xima Road. You can just walk a few minutes to Kaiyuan Temple, Guangji Gate and Guangji Bridge. At 5.30pm, they remove the pontoons in the middle of the bridge and at 8pm, there is a light show. Food is abundantly found in the surrounding streets. Access to this hotel is via the 2 lanes beside YUY Hotel from Paifang street or Xima Road. The boss and his wife communicate in Mandarin, so Google translate will come in handy. Before checking in, you need to inform the inn of the time of arrival so that the boss can meet you. We were given a key card and complete freedom to go in and out anytime. The place is quiet and very clean. It is also quite new. Amenities are good quality, towels and bedding all good. Perfect for an independent traveller. Hosts are friendly and helpful. There is a washing machine and place for drying clothes on the rooftop. If you come from Chaosan train station, take bus K2 and stop at the Central Hospital opposite West Lake and walk to the inn in about 10-15mins. Make sure you have WeChat installed in your phone to communicate with the host.

TTohDaraI had an amazing stay here! The location is outside of the ancient town but tucked away in a quiet street which I found very peaceful. The owner offered us to have tea and was very kind and friendly. When we arrived, they even sent us a list of recommended places to eat on wechat. Not many places do this and I appreciated the local recommendation for beef hotpot and other local finds! The breakfast was interesting, it was a meal at a nearby food store. This whole experience was very local and i loved it. The room was spacious and very cozy. They also had disposable towels which they replaced daily, but maybe it is a personal preference, I would much prefer a normal towel for better absorbancy. Regardless this homestay was still such a good experience. The rooftop is excellent for relaxing, and they even offer free tea in the room. Definitely what I needed after a long day of walking around to rest and relax.
Lastly, i hesitated to book this because i thought it would be better to book something in the ancient city, but the experience was so good, i have no regrets! Definitely will book here again, the homestay owners are the best hosts!
