hotel is well maintained, staff behavior is good even food is not costly but hope for next time room will available because i want to continue my room but i have booked only for one day and now room is not available ☹️

This is a large state run hotel located in the heart of the city. The property is clean and has a large area with gardens. Car parking is available for guests. Rooms are large, clean and centrally air conditioned. Bathrooms are clean and equipped with a geyser. There are no electric kettles and breakfast is not complimentary. We were provided with only one glass in a double room. The staff refused to provide an additional one when requested. Food at the restaurant is good and inexpensive.The hotel does not have a bar.Public transport is easily available outside the premises. However, do keep in mind the fact that this hotel is used by government officials and your booking could be subject to cancellation at any time. We had another booking two days later on Feb 2-3. The hotel called us up and informed that the booking was cancelled in view of the PM's visit. However, they did not give anything in writing. We decided to come back to the hotel and found our booking intact. The hotel officials and staff should definitely have more consideration for normal guests too

Centrally located, old Karnataka state (KSTDC) guest house, partly converted into a hotel. Grand surroundings, excellent rooms, very well kept. Open lifts and excellent concierge service. The place has all the trappings of a star hotel, but extremely reasonable rates. The multi-cuisine restaurant serves veg and non-veg food throughout the day. Quality of food and prices are excellent. Room service is at a cost but quick and courteous. Adequate parking available. Public transport available right outside the gate. Overall, the best choice for a budget stay.

1 : No hot water kettle inside rooms 2 : Faulty placement of plug points. Looks like person who did the carpenter work didn't apply his brains. Neither did the electrician, who forgot to put switches at right places. Tell me one thing, how will connect your laptop chord when the plug is under the table and there is no hole in table to pull the cable. The person who did this need to be given Padma Shri for this shoddy brainless work. 3 : From outside it looks majestic. The moment you go inside , heavy sarkari feeling. Few staff members are good. 4 KSTDC has world famous brands like Mysore Sandal and Mysore Silk. Don't see any brand store inside. Atleast light sandalwood agarbatti at reception area. This will have positive effect on tourists when they enter. 5 No late checkout here. A BIG NO for all late flight travellers. I would not come back and would not recommend this hotel for others. When you ask for late check out, the staff looks at you as if you have done great crime. 6 : For extra toothpaste, is it chargeable? Then first time travellers need to lookout for this. 7 : NO LAUNDRY FACILITIES. BIG TURN OFF. And staff doesn't want to help. They only want to help GORAS. or foreigners. Seen with my own eyes. 8 In house Taxi service is rip off. It is double the cost of OLA CABS. Why don't they just shut it and have OLA Taxi stand? 9 : Doors need serious carpenter work as they need extreme strengths to close and lock. 10 : The hotel seriously needs to switch to shower and bath gel in bathrooms to avoid giving costly big Mysore Sandal soap. You can make it out the loss per room here. 11 : There is a complimentary water bottle which I never got. Ultimately had to buy my stock from outside. 12 : Karnataka has great tourists' areas. But the no one knows how they can market other places. Nor there is any loyalty program for repeat visitors.
