The Bannville Hotel

Hosted a private party for a 70th birthday party, for 25 people. Lovely tidy private room, great food and service and an outstanding cake. Very reasonably priced too. Thumbs up to all at the Bannville, I'll be back to quote a certain well known actor.

Had the Christmas dinner and I thoughtly enjoyed it..The portion was good and it was presented well..Also it was hot as occasionally I have experienced the meal not hot enough in other venues.(like my dinner hot).. Definitely a place to go to for a nice meal..Also I go on Sunday for the carvery which is delicious and a brilliant portion..You will not come out of here wanting a burger hint!! as with some places when you are still hungry after the meal

This hotel is in serious need of an upgrade and refurb. Very old and dated product and made for a very uncomfortable night’s sleep. Got into bed very late and literally fell onto a sunken mattress with springs twanging underneath my back. The bedroom was not the cleanest and furniture looked as if dated back to the 70’s. Breakfast experience also lacking with cutlery, plates, cups and bowls all laid out on two small trolleys. Difficult to reach items on low shelf and had to get down to floor level to reach them. All this hotel needs is a little TLC and someone to love it enough to make it excellent.

Poor exception to the norm they said .. a big out fit 4 out of 5 uneatable steak special.. .. rubbery fatty cheap steaks.. back twice.still . poor quality.. in fairness starter and pudding were average….charged us accordingly.. what if moment hard 2 go back

We travelled from Scotland and stayed for 2 nights and had a family birthday celebration for 30 people on the Sunday afternoon. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, they absolutely looked after everything for us and added to what was a great weekend. The food in the hotel on both the Saturday night and the Sunday family meal was exceptional. We had a birthday meal for 30 people and the service and quality of the food was fantastic. We are a family of 5 and this is one of the few hotels that have great rooms for families of 5. We had a large spacious room with 3 single beds and a double bed. The breakfast on both mornings was also very enjoyable. All in all we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to staying again on our next trip

Spent a lovely couple of nights in the hotel. Visiting for a family event which was catered for in the hotel. Very spacious family room and the staff were excellent.

Well where do I start. I will be checking out one day early. They can keep the money for the extra night as I think they need it. So the hotel is so run down. They are trying to improve but the contractors can't paint. The furniture is 40 odd years old. The staff well the waiter just chooses to clear his throat and nose walking through the bar absolutely disgusting. The food I sent back the first time as it was all stone cold . When I received my new amazing meal it was rhe same one blitzed in the microwave as I put a salad leaf and chip under the so called homemade lasagne. Never will I stay here again. The photos do not reflect what you are sleeping in. I I saw ***** being injected. People shouting doors being slammed. I would pur this so called 3 star Hotel as a negative 3 star. I wouldn't give one star

Absolutely can not fault The Banville..all staff were polite,friendly and helpful..food was amazing,Sunday Carvery was the best..Room was clean and comfortable,anything we asked for was not a problem..I will say NOT to book via *********** as your breakfast is not included,didnt know this till we got there..was advised by manager to book directly through hotel for best prices which include breakfast..we adopted the resident cat for the week too he was so friendly🐈all in all a fantastic Hotel..We will be back😊😊

Nice staff, rooms are getting tired and are in need of refurbishment. The corridors have been freshly painted, so they may well be in the process of refurbishment. Busy restraunt, although no issues getting a seat. Food is very nice and well presented.
