It is an excellent, peaceful location. The hotel seems to be old and needs renovations. Complimentary breakfast was not good but manageable for a quick one-night stay.

We were originally a bit scared by some of the reviews, but we ended up having a good experience at the hotel overall! Staff was friendly, room was a bit worn but clean, and the complementary breakfast was great! It was one of the area’s more affordable options and we felt that the amount we paid was worth it.

only complaint is air handler was noisy. clean, quiet and comfortable room. Wonderful staff. See you again in 6 months. Close proximity to Mt Washington Children's hospital

No problems. Elevators are slow, but there are secret stairs around the corner. Can hear everything through thin walls.
Gym is simple. Breakfast standard. Bed was very comfortable.

The elevator is really shabby, which gives a bad impression to start with. The TV in the first room I was given didn't work so I had to pack up, go back down to the front desk, and get a new room. The fan in the bathroom didn't work either. Lighting in the room was poor - no overhead lights and the lamps were really dim. Breakfast was lousy - scrambled eggs were not made from fresh eggs, potatoes were really bad tater tots (no potato, only fried coating), muffins were soggy. I only stay here because my elderly mother lives in Cross Keys. Next time I'll stay at the Colonnade even though it's a little farther away.

Their website is misleading. There are no microwaves in rooms. There is one on each floor. The restaurant they mention that is open until late is no longer there. Its been closed for years. There is however a cafe "Easy Like Sunday" which is very good but pricey. The hotel is very hard to find. Not enough signage. A lot of construction going on. The stainless steel small trashcans in the room and bathroom need to be cleaned. Had dead bugs in them and needed to be wiped down on outside. Beds were comfortable. TV had only a few channels you could watch on the 1st day we were there but had many more channels on the 2nd day. Room was a nice size. They should probably talk about the few shops that are right there in their advertising.
