We felt in love with this hotel. İt's located on rocks, so you will have the beautiful sunsets and the stunning view on an ocean. The sound of ocean will make you sleepy in the evening and will wake up you in the morning. Just perfect place to enjoy your vacation. Also the best beach of Lembongan - Mushroom beach - is not far from hotel. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly

Gorgeous, well-priced villa accommodation conveniently located near Dream Beach, Devil's Tears and Sunset point. A lot of great restaurants and day-spas within walking distance. Peaceful surrounds away from the peak season crowds and motorbikes.
Lovely outdoor area with pool and restaurant. Perfect for taking a dip at the end of a hot day of island exploration.
Awesome, large, air-conditioned rooms. Clean and comfy. Opens onto large balcony with comfortable seating.
Large, semi-outdoor bathroom and shower with a lovely rustic-island feel. Hot water to boot!
The staff are very helpful and friendly. It's so easy to book anything you need on the island (taxi service, rental bikes, day trips etc).
Breakfast is modest but tasty.
Loved my stay here! Would stay again and recommend for anyone staying on Lembongan.

Fabulous! The view from the restaurant/public infinity pool is worth the price alone. Just watching the waves crash and spotting turtles in the lagoon is some of the best sightseeing you could ask for. The food at the restaurant is also surprisingly standout.
Villas are very private and the (salt) pools are quite large, considering. There's a couch with an overhead fan so you can hang out around them. Only cons are some parts are showing their age and the bathrooms are open air in one place so mosquitos find their way in, although there is a net around each bed.
By the way, there's not much difference between the ocean view room and not. You sort of have to look over a wall in the outside area to see the ocean, anyway.
Staff are super friendly and eager to be of assistance. They also all speak excellent English. A really good vibe from everyone.

My husband and I were in Maua for our short trip to Nusa Penida during our 2-week honeymoon in Bali, and we can both agree without hesitation that Maua was absolutely the best hotel we have ever stayed at, not just in this trip but ever, in terms of overall experience. Upon arrival, we were immediately stunned by how beautiful view from the hotel reception area was when we walked down the stairs from the parking lot. We started to appreciate the aesthetics of the hotel even more when the manager, Ka Ka told us about the difficulties of building this hotel from scratch, especially transporting the construction materials all the way from Bali to Nusa Penida through the small and bumpy roads on the island. And as you stay there longer and observe more, you can really tell that a lot of time, effort and thoughts have been put into the architecture, interior design and environment of the whole place. We must say, however, that all has been paid off because the execution was nothing less than perfect.
Maua consists of a number of private villas which were built on a mountain slope. We stayed at Villa No. 323 at the most bottom with a private infinity pool overlooking the gorgeous Gamat Bay with a sunset view. Buggies would be arranged for sending us down and picking us up upon a quick phone call, even at 5 a.m. in the morning one day when we wanted to watch the sunrise. The breakfast was the most generous and sumptuous we had in Bali and the presentation and taste was on point. The free flow pastries were a nice touch, and the French toast was the best I have ever had. We also tried their restaurant for dinner on one night and were very satisfied with their Western options.
Needless to say, and I am sure all the guests would agree, the hotel staff members were what made Maua extra special - you can just feel that everyone working there were genuinely enjoying their work and happy about their life there, and they care about the well-being of the guests from the bottom of their hearts and it really shows. To the whole Maua crew, especially our dear friends, Dinda, Ayu, and Kaka, we would like to give a big thank you to you all for making our stay so memorable and flawless. Thank you for showering us with surprised snacks, late night cakes, welcome and goodbye drinks (and even giving us the recipe for it without us asking) and your warming smiles. The lovely conversations we had and the laughter we shared will forever stay in our hearts. We are missing our stay at Maua so much after checking out and would definitely visit Nusa Penida again just so we can stay with Maua.

Great little houses, not expensive. There is air conditioning, a bed, a table, bedside tables. Breakfast in the neighboring warung. They cooked scrambled eggs and omelette and coffee for 20-30 minutes. The staff is responsive, we checked in in the morning. The downsides are that you can hear trucks farting as they go uphill and hot water, which may not be enough for a second stay. But everything is great, I recommend it. And yes, the road to the hotel is a bit unpaved with stones and a descent.

I think it's very good. It's right opposite the dive shop. You can rest right after diving. It's very convenient. The room is clean and tidy, but the facilities are not good. The faucet in the room I stayed in leaked. Remember to bring mosquito coils. It's a single-family house, very retro, and the environment is very satisfactory. It's very comfortable to live in.

Had very pleasant stay here. The room was very big, acc worked very well and quietly. Bed very comfortable. Beautiful garden and pool. Location is great too, easy to reach every part of the island. Stuff friendly and helpful. Only downside is the food, but if you like fried rice and noodles you’ll be fine. Anyway very close to resort there is nice place to eat. Would definitely recommend and stay there once again. Very good value for the money. Oh and there is very well equipped gym!

Excellent room. Really big with nice sitting area, balcony, good working desk. Also loved the bathroom.
Had some problems getting the safe to work but eventually were fixed.
There is not much micro economy outside and just one restaurant. I did manage to get Grab from the hotel.
The hotel runs a great shuttle to Semarapura and Goa Lawah, it's free but you tip the driver and guide and pay for entry to the various sites.
The spa area is nice but the treatment I had was not very good.

Outstanding
GGuest UserI have a lot to say. On the surface, Maya Sanur is really beautiful and appears to be in a good location, staff are attentive and kind - as long as nothing goes wrong you're fine. After staying a few days we inevitably ran into a few issues. This certainly has nothing to do with the hotel but it's important to consider. Sanur is in a part of Bali that is less touristy albeit still touristy and draws enough crowds that you'd think the beach was really inviting when in fact it isn't. Sanur beach is gravely and pretty unswimmable, lots of algae and low tides make it almost impossible to enjoy unless you wake up super early or swim later in the evening. The crowd that Maya Sanur attracts are mostly older, white foreigners and not the friendly ones. I'm white but even I was like, ”What am I doing here?” If you like being around unfriendly, snooty folks, this is your spot. The staff were mostly accommodating and incredibly kind until one morning I requested an umbrella be opened on the beach for sitting in the sun. I was told, and I kid you not, ”NO, we don't put those up.” I asked why they were on the beach if people don't use them. I was answered with, ”There is a breeze so we don't open them.” I then asked, ”When do you use them?” to which the staff member replied, ”In the morning.” This whole conversation was nothing short of ridiculous, given the price you pay to stay here and the fact that every other resort on the beach has their umbrellas open is absolutely laughable that this man gave me such a dumb answer. I decided once we were back in the room that I should share this concern with the front desk. They apologized profusely and when I was on the beach later that evening, an umbrella was up. So silly. Another sort of annoying issue, I booked an extra night, I asked the front desk first and they gave me an inflated rate, they encouraged me to let them know if I booked a room online, which I did, on their site for cheaper. I let the front desk know and they said ok. Sadly, my flight couldn't be altered and we never ended up staying but when I called to let the front desk know our plans fell through, they offered me zero refund and said, maybe you can come back in 6 months to stay with us again. I felt a bit disappointed in this given that I wanted to book directly with the front desk, maybe even getting a better rate, considering I'd already spent a ton of money with them the first 4 days we stayed. When plans fell through, I notified the hotel immediately, less than 24 hours after my new booking and they were unwilling to offer a refund for a room I would never even stay in. I guess what I learned is, Maya Sanur is pretty but business and money far outweigh service and true hospitality. With so many other resorts to choose from, I wouldn't come back based on these interactions. This is not a low budget hotel so you expect a certain type of customer service. It is clear that Maya Sanur wants to keep attracting the crowd they have so I will look elsewhere next time. It's just sad that small gestures could have gone a long way to leave a better impression and a more satisfying stay.
LLuanna Cardoso deArriving at the hotel I immediately smelled the mould. The hotel is beautiful but smells. We were kindly received at the door, they picked up our luggage, and served us a welcome drink while we did the check in. I started to sneeze and my nose clogged so I explained I was allergic to dust and I would like a room with more sunlight and wind. When we entered the room the musty smell was unbearable. I immediately complained and they promptly found another room without carpets. I believe it was an upgrade. They also sent us an apology card with fruits and chocolates. Unfortunately, the new room was still smelly, not as smelly as the first one, but we accepted as we were super tired and didn’t want to wait any longer. Here are my pros and cons:
Pros:
Shower pressure was fantastic
Breakfast was great, they had options like avocado toast, salmon bagel, burritos, and a variety of international options
Bed was comfortable
Swimming pool Temperature was perfect and the bar very convenient with great drinks
Beach is clean and not crowded
Sunset is beautiful
The restaurants had a good environment and good food. A bit pricey, but overall worth it.
Cons:
Mould. This is actually the only reason I wouldn’t go back to this hotel. The smell is in the room and the entrance mainly. The rest of the areas are okay. This hotel was built in 1993, so I have to say that if it wasn’t for that, the hotel would be in amazing condition.
Service by the pool was very slow, my husband tried to get a beer first thing when he arrived and only after calling the waiter twice they brought him the beer, but it was room temperature! 😞
Coconut water and beer were not cold, they actually offered ice, but it just made it watery and tasteless.
Bike rental can only be used inside the hotel, and they don’t tell you that when you rent it. I tried to go out to cycle in the surrounding area and they didn’t allow me to go. After complaining, the charged me half price for the rent. I only used inside the hotel and at the beach in front of the hotel.
Concierge service was very slow and inefficient. He didn’t have packages to offer, photos, or videos. Everything was searched on Google right in front of us. The only option given was a private driver that could take us anywhere we wanted to go. The problem is that we didn’t know the places, so we were expecting a better introduction to the island and the activities. We ended up doing our own research and hiring the driver.
Transfer from hotel to airport costs 430,000 RP, but if you get a grab (similar to Uber/Didi) it will cost you less than 80,000 RP.
Overall, the hotel is a good option if you can tolerate the smell. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t recommend it. Otherwise it was a great stay for the price.
YYoichiThe best hospitality and hotel design ever.
It’s the perfect to be relaxed at hotel although accesses to places to visit are not so nice, you do not need to go out from this hotel if you want to enjoy staying at hotel.
GGuest UserA very disappointing stay at this hotel. Issues started at check in and continued throughout our stay . Our family booked 5 rooms at the Alam KUL KUL and we all had issues with facilities and getting any action taken to address them . To start we visited the hotel in mid November 2023 to enquire about late checkout when we stayed in February 2024. The hotel reception were very pleasant in November and guaranteed that late checkout was easy and it was a great rate of 550.000 . The reception staff said that they had added the late checkout to our booking. When we arrived in February everything was different. First the reception staff questioned that we had visited in November and that we did not have late checkout added to our booking. They insisted that we name the hotel staff who we had spoken with in November. After much discussion we had the late checkout added but staff were less than friendly. Then they insisted we pay the extra money straight away. We said no problem but then my wife’s wise card wouldn’t work in their payment machine and staff kept insisting that the wrong pin was being entered. My wife had been using the card for the last 7 days in Bali with no issues. So I then gave them my wise card and was surprised when it wouldn’t work in their machine either. I also had been using my card daily in Bali with no issues. After much further discussion with hotel reception they said that we could pay at check out. We had already pre paid for all 5 rooms prior to this. On the day of checkout I received a request to contact reception as they had no records of us asking for late checkout. During several WhatsApp messages from reception they said that we had refused to pay for the late checkout and that we had stated that we would get it free. I was absolutely disappointed to receive these messages and we had never stated anything about free late checkout. The reception staff continued sending messages that were completely false statements. In reflection I think that the staff were trying to cover up the poor service lack of professionalism that they lacked. This were only a few of the small issues that arose during our stay . Our daughter and family had a mouse running around their room and it took staff 3 days to come and look at the room. There was never any offer to change rooms. Another family group had their air conditioning not working and it took 3 days for the hotel to address that issue . My wife ordered drinks during happy hour at the garden pool and when the bill came they wanted to charge full price and their staff stated that my wife had ordered room service! She was locked out of our room at the time because the electronic key kept failing.
On 3 separate occasions I asked to speak with the hotel manager to see if we could get better communication and service. Unfortunately the manager was always unavailable, so can only assume that is where the problem starts . Too important or don’t care about hotel guests.
Most of the hotels staff were extremely friendly and welcoming especially the restaurant staff.
The Alam is a very old property in a very good location. The rooms have been renovated and beds are comfortable. After visiting Bali about 16 times and staying in many different hotels and villas this was our most disappointing stay in Bali. It’s a shame that the small issues kept coming and that the hotel were either trying to cover up or complacent about.
SSankeerthana ChiramanaIt was a memorable trip with my family in Bali Hilton resort. Especially the memories we captured in the beautiful locations of the resort by Dreams Studio Bali, Geraldo and Eka.

NNrynI recently stayed at the Ramayana Hotel with a friend, and we had a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the friendly and trustworthy staff who made us feel welcome.
Our room was clean and well-maintained, featuring a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. One small detail that stood out was the delightful scent of the soap provided—such a nice touch!
The amenities were excellent, and we really enjoyed making use of them during our stay. Overall, we had a lot of fun and felt right at home. I highly recommend Ramayana Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
FFfern_elfRoom is nice and modern. Breakfast box is provided when requested for early Nusa Penida one-day trip. We found so many ants in the room, e.g., wall, working table, closet. Staff use insect repellent spray and it's kinda work. The security team is quite impressive, they help us get in the car and leading to our corrected elevator.
AAnonymous UserStaying here was a real retreat. The room which has pool access we booked was clean, spacious, intimate bcs there only a few room. Our room was very close to the dining gazebo where there were some plugs so we could working with our laptop with a sight of ricefields. the bathroom has a good warm water shower. I love when the morning sun can penetrate to the room. Nasi goreng and Mie goreng for breakfast are quite tasty. - But sometimes you can hear a gecko at night and unfortunately during our 2n3d stay, there were no one clean and make up our room. Also tissue and water didn't get refilled.
SShahriar ImranGreat central location
I stayed at Homestay Alam Pangkung for a night, really enjoyed its location in the city center where everything is within walking distance.
