I had reserved this inn quite a while ago as from the reviews and the pictures it sounded pretty well perfect. Included a free breakfast, and a short walk to town. I had reserved for a total of 7 days but I ran after being there only two days because it took me that long to find somewhere else to go. I hadn't expected Ubud to be as crowded as it was. If you are a 20 year old and all you sincerely want is a hot shower and a bed, this is the place for you because that is all you will get. In spite of the fact it advertises a free breakfast, that doesn't happen anymore according to the owner. I point blank asked him and he said no, not since covid. Can live with that. I knew they featured an outdoor shower, which they do, but I didn't realize the whole bathroom would be outside. That means I had to drag all my toiletries in and out every time I wanted to wash my face or brush my teeth. If you don't remove your items, something will have nested in it by the time you go back to use them again. The bed was hard as a rock and I think parts of the room hadn't been cleaned for ages. They did have a TV but the cord ended about 5 ft short of any possible plug, so I have no idea if I would have asked for an extension cord if it would have worked or not. There is no good place to sit other than the bed. They do have a so-called vanity there with a wooden stool. The doors to the outside would not close without a gap on either side of the door frame. I would estimate that the door on each side was probably an inch short of completely closing the opening on each side of the sliding door. Let the bug feast begin. After I noticed this, I started spraying repellent around the opening as much as I could. The air conditioning worked well and the pool looked nice and sparkling clean. There is not enough ambient lighting in the room to be able to sit and read in the evening. Sitting outside on your little patio isn't particularly an option even with mosquito repellent because they literally will dive on you from every possible angle. Obviously, I quickly decided the negatives far outweighed any benefit I would reap by staying the rest of my reserved time and hating every minute. And no, I did not ask for a refund because that wouldn't have been fair. They did reserve that time and the room for me even though I chose not to make use of it. In all good conscience I could not recommend this place to anyone. The people who are running it just seemed as nice as they can be, but there's no way I could recommend anyone staying here with all the negatives.
