Started as a bolt hole for us two. We paid a very discounted price of 770000INR for two nights. Room a bit mildewy but it's at the bottom of the hill (104) and so also next to the jungle and the river plus the pool is at your front door. I should add; the always cool and refreshing pool (unlike the hot bathwater-like pool at the Seminyak villa we had previously. Anyhoo, good value really and in a brilliant spot with (simple egg based or goreng breakfast included, we like what we got. We extended another two days. We are on Jalan Monkey Forest and I'm popping there tomorrow. Brilliant services, shops and food at your door! A lovely quiet hideaway and we have now been joined by our two lads. The neohs are in 103 and 104 and I'd choose these rooms if I had the choice and there are other lovely rooms. Lots of glass to see out of. Big beds that are quite comfortable if not quite deluxe. Certainly very large. General cleanliness could be improved but it's better than my last place. I always think it's attention to detail and presentation that can count here and that's not entirely there. But would, or do I think that the wonderful staff here are all anything but we'll, wonderful: no. They're superb. My room has a good A/C, a ceiling fan and a little fridge for my essentials and a hairdryer. We are very happy and as I said, we have extended our stay, so we must be. This is a great and reasonably priced stay near the Monkey Forrest and a rented Scoopy rude away from anything in town with taxi guys at the door (look for Adi over the road at the tourist stand, he will do you well, is straight-up, honest as the day is long and great to talk to can get you sorted for anything). Actually, that's my overwhelming feeling here in Bali, but especially in Ubud: honesty, sincerity and goodwill. Loving it here.
