The deluxe cottages are also equipped with mosquito nets, microwave and electric coffee makeing facilities. Staff can arrange babysitting service, vehicle rental and airport transfers upon request. I had an amazing time at Bisma Cottage as a Solo traveller in late March - early April 2025. The website of Bisma Cottages is super informative, they have so many things they can recommend to you. Kelly (from Australia) and her team of local Balinese people (they speak English very well) is really knowledgeable and they were happy to help with everything. Super convenient if you are new to Bali or new to Ubud. I booked three tours with bisma cottages and the guides are amazing (especially Darma). I can highly recommend "Best of Ubud" and "cave mediation" and "water purification". The local guide Darma is a perfect private tour guide if you want to learn about meditation and about the history of Bali, Ubud and everything... Wild water rafting was also fun and they organised a private driver which is just more convenient. I could only stay 6 night unfortunately as they book out quite soon (it is a smaller place with a vibe that feels like family and friends). I also did a floating breakfast which is fun and really nice for photos. I can 100% recommend it :-)

This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at these cottages - traditional, clean and peaceful. The staff lovely and attentive without being intrusive. Close to great restaurants and walks through rice fields. As always Kelly’s recommendations were spot on. Will be back again

I spent 4 nights at Bisma Cottages and I loved every minute of my stay. The pool is really nice and the room with terrace is amazing. Everything is super clean and the facilities are nice as well, such as the filtered water. I especially loved all the staff, the girls are super friendly, lovely and they always show their interests in you. I highly recommend the Tirta Empul tour with Icha, she knows a lot and it's amazing to spend time with her.

We chose the family adventure package for our family with two teens and it was perfect! The 2 bedroom cottage was great to have our own space but the rooms were located next to each other so we felt safe. The pool was lovely to cool off and the location was excellent. So many food options close by and spas too which was important for mum! The package included rafting, massages, Ubud tour and floating breakfast and was excellent value. The kids had so much fun and the massage was excellent! Highly recommended and we will be back.

I am a return-to-Bisma Cottages kinda of traveller, because it's perfect for solo women! They offer different packages to suit everyone and you always end up meeting like-minded people. The staff is amazing and so helpful, I feel like returning home each time I visit 🩷

I loved this place!! I spent a week there and enjoyed every minute. The facilities are great (nice pool) and the rooms are spacious and cozy. Most of all what makes this place great is the staff. In particular I highly recommend the Tirta Empul tour with Icha, who is very kind and knowledgeable!

Nestled within the hustle of Ubud lies this exquisite little gem of a hotel, where I had been assured, I would find the solace and peace required after one hell of a journey. I’d booked the Solo Girls Package, as recommended by the author, Alexa West and added the Mt Batur sunrise hike into my plan. The care and attention to detail that Kelly and her staff put into this guest house was exactly what I needed, whilst the gorgeous room proved to be a very restful sanctuary. Kelly is a fabulous source of local knowledge and I will be returning as I have so many more things to see and do on my next visit to Bali.

Bisma Cottages is my home away from home in Ubud. Owned by Kelly, a solo female traveler, this cozy guesthouse is designed with solo women in mind. Every time I stay here, I meet fellow travelers, and we end up sharing stories, meals, and spontaneous adventures. The pool is such a social hub, perfect for floating breakfasts, tanning days, and making new friends. The location is ideal, too—close enough to walk everywhere but tucked just behind the city center for peace and quiet. Pro Tip: Book directly and let Kelly know you’re a solo traveler—she goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. And check out her adventures and tours, like water purification ceremonies and Mt. Agung hikes!

Bisma cottages always get a five star review from me. I keep on coming, extending my stay, and not wanting to leave. This was my third stay and I am sure it won’t be the last - I’m still in Bali and I’m already thinking of when I could come back again! Ubud is magical and definitely give it a chance for at least 3-4 days. Why do I love Bisma cottages so much? The owner is wonderful and extremely helpful. She also offers tours around the island, pick up from the airport and similar. With one of her guides, Darma, I’ve toured the whole island. The best part is, year after year - going to the water purification temple with him. Kelly and Darma - you made me fall in love with Bali ❤️
