Killer views, would definitely come again. We booked the room that overlooked the meadows and rice fields, the hotel rooms are perfectly blended into nature, service is top notch, facilities are somewhat missing but definitely made up for in service and cleanness, would book again. Worth the price.

Here are the key highlights of our stay: Marvelous Design – The seamless integration of bamboo architecture with the natural surroundings was truly impressive. The mechanical bed was an unforgettable touch! Breathtaking Views of the Rice Paddies – It felt like being in a grand theater, with our villa as the center stage. Despite the open views, we still enjoyed complete privacy, which was an incredible balance. Attentive Staff – The staff consistently addressed us by name, and the thoughtful birthday greeting was a lovely surprise. Special thanks to Sinatra, Ari and Budiasa (I hope I’ve captured their names correctly) for their exceptional care and attention throughout our stay. Delicious Food at Maniq Restaurant – We had a fantastic lunch at the restaurant, with plenty of great options to choose from. The following morning, we upgraded to the floating breakfast, which is a must-try experience! Heated Pool in Our Villa – One of the few resorts in Ubud offering a heated pool, and it was such a pleasure to dip in at any time of the day or night. After reading other reviews of hotels where guests couldn't fully enjoy their pools due to the cold, you'll definitely appreciate this feature. Prime Location – The resort is conveniently located near several historic temples and must-see spots, making it an ideal base for exploring Ubud. Many attractions are closer here than in the Ubud Center itself.

Bambootel is a charming bamboo treehouse resort overlooking panoramic views of lush rice fields and mount Agung in Ubud. It's also a walking distance 10 min away from Tirta Empul legendary temple in Ubud. Absolutely loved the incredible bamboo architecture and Boho style inspired rooms. Staff and the food was amazing 10/10

The Villas at Bambootel Sawah are out of this world! Completely private and finely appointed. We enjoyed our villa so much we didn’t want to leave it! The restaurant and food were also very good - service was amazing. We commented that we often felt like we were the only guests at the hotel even though they were at full occupancy! Highly recommend this experience!

Our stay at Bambootel was unforgettable! The bamboo villas are not just eco-friendly but incredibly luxurious, with breathtaking views of rice terraces and jungle all around. The gym was a standout for me—working out with those jungle vibes was an experience in itself. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. We also enjoyed a floating breakfast in the pool, which was such a romantic touch. Honestly, even a one-night stay here is the perfect date idea or surprise for your girlfriend—it’s the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression!

My partner and I had the most incredible stay with Bambootel. The resort is peaceful and nestled into a secluded area of the jungle. The resort grounds and the individual rooms are beautiful, exceptionally clean, and very unique. There are a wide range of services, activities and excursions offered by the resort to envelope you into Balinese culture or enhance your stay – the cooking class was a lot of fun (thank you so much Tari!) and the massages (thank you Yuyun and Suarni) were a big highlight for us. A very big thank you to Nanda who assisted us on our tour of the exquisite Menening Temple and water meditation experience. And to Ari and Kori who allowed us to assist and guided us through the making of their daily Gebogan offerings. The food at the restaurant is delectable – We highly recommend the pork belly entrée, the Pad Thai main, and definitely ensure you try the lava cake! And we had a delightful time trying a wide range of cocktails on the menu while listening to a great live duo cover all of our favourite song requests acoustically. However, my partner and I agree more than anything, that what makes Bambootel so incredibly special are the wonderful staff. Rediak and Ari in butler services, Manik and Ana at reception, and Budi the operations manager, were so incredibly kind and so welcoming. Ela, Sopy and Ardana are the friendliest waitresses and waitors who made us so excited to go to eat as we knew there was always warm conversations and laughs waiting for us. It is the staff of Bambootel that left such a strong positive imprint on our memories of our trip to Bali, quite easily the highlight of our whole trip, and we are so incredibly grateful for them.
