Hotel Bareiss

If you want to be spoiled and pampered in the middle of the beautiful Blackforest then this is your place. From the moment you arrive it's pure luxury steeped in tradition. The rooms, service, food, everything was beyond perfect. Classic German hospitality!

Our second stay in Bareiss. Again we did enjoy our stay very much. Rooms are very large and comfortable. Nicely decorated, a bit oldfashioned, but very cosy. Excellent bed. Bathroom is nice but shower (corner model) shows its date: it feels a bit cramped. A walk-in shower would be nice. Breakfast is out of the ordinary: amazing choice, amazing quality. Diner feeled more refined than 3 years ago: we did really appreciate the fine cuisine. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The pool/welness area is amazing and very well maintained. We will certainly come back

My husband and I just spent five lovely nights at Hotel Bareiss in Baiersbronn. It was not our first visit to the town. We used to live about 45 minutes away in a town called Jettingen, and we liked to explore the Schwarzwald when we were living in the area. We still use a dentist in Stuttgart, which gives us the excuse to come back down to the Black Forest for quick breaks from our current home in Wiesbaden. I decided to book Hotel Bareiss after visiting Hotel Engel Obertal last year, and having lunch at the Bareiss owned Forellenhof Buhlbach. I knew that Hotel Bareiss was considered high class, and boasts excellent restaurants. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Hotel Bareiss, although it cost over twice as much at Hotel Engel Obertal did. Of course, Hotel Bareiss offers amenities that the other hotel doesn't, like a petting zoo, half board that includes delightful dinners, and an incredible pool and sauna area. I was especially charmed by one of the goats at the petting zoo, who was super friendly and cute! I also loved visiting the ponies. Staff at this hotel are very service oriented, friendly, and professional. However, there were a couple of minor issues. I know that wait staff pouring wine is supposed to be good service, but if the server isn't attentive and doesn't top up glasses, it ceases to be very impressive service. I would rather the wine not be held hostage, especially if it means hanging around after we're finished eating so we can finish the bottle. We had several servers during our five nights. One was very good about table maintenance and pouring wines, but the other was somewhat less so. All of the servers we met were polite and spoke excellent English. We also enjoyed the staff in the bar. We also noticed that a couple of times, turn down wasn't done completely. It was as if someone got distracted while doing turn down and didn't quite finish the job. I found the mats meant for the bedside draped over the desk chair. Of course, this was not a huge deal to us, but it was noticeable. And this hotel charges a lot, so our expectations are high. My last nitpick pertains to the letter we got on the last night. It was written in English, and perfectly understandable, but there were some basic grammatical and punctuation errors in the letter. I know that there are a lot of people employed at the hotel who speak fluent English, so it seems that someone could proofread the form letter in English and correct it. One should capitalize the word "dear", for instance, when writing a salutation. I'm sorry to be so picky, but again-- it's a problem that is very easily fixed and would make a better impression on English speakers. By the way, I would have been fine with getting the letter in German, since German is the local language! But if you're going to offer a goodbye letter in English, it would be good to have the form letter correct. Also, it would have been useful to have a pen in our room, to make

We stayed here in August 2022 to celebrate a private occasion. I've never experiences such good service, from check-in, to food to anything else. The breakfast bar is not just enormous, but also very good. There were over 20 (!!) different bread choices! The SPA areas is very nice. The massage could have been better. The room ("big Double room") was very big indeed (nearly 50sqm), with the very very minor comment that the light actually made some noise (which I never experienced before). I really hope going back there one day, I was rarely so relaxed after a hotel stay.

Mon avis cet hôtel été ou top mais lors notre dernier séjour une catastrophe. machine à café non nettoyée , après 3 jour cendres toujours dans la cheminée, poubelles plaines , non vidėes .baignoire sans eau . Réparation réclamée plusieurs fois et réparée après 5 jour . Peignoirs usés . carte des vins pas à jour, beaucoup de bouteilles épuisées . Après tous ces problèmes durant 10 jours aucun geste a été fait à notre égard . Tout ça avec une note de 13’000 euros pour 10 jours . Je ne conseillerai plus cet établissement

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, letztes Wochenende im Hotel Bareiss zu verbringen, und es war einfach eine unvergessliche Erfahrung. Vom ersten Moment an fühlten wir uns herzlich willkommen und bestens umsorgt. Die Gastfreundschaft im Bareiss ist unvergleichlich. Jeder einzelne Mitarbeiter war unglaublich höflich, aufmerksam und herzlich – es fühlte sich an, als wären wir nicht bloß Gäste, sondern Teil einer großen Familie. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das wunderbare Angebot für Kinder. Unsere Kinder waren begeistert von den Aktivitäten, der Betreuung und den liebevoll gestalteten Einrichtungen. Es war schön zu sehen, wie viel Wert darauf gelegt wird, dass auch die jüngsten Gäste eine großartige Zeit haben. Ein absolutes Highlight war das Essen. Jedes Gericht war ein Genuss – von der Vielfalt am Frühstücksbuffet bis hin zu den raffinierten Menüs am Abend. Die Qualität, Frische und Kreativität der Küche lassen keine Wünsche offen. Das Hotel Bareiss schafft es, Luxus, Gemütlichkeit und Herzlichkeit perfekt zu vereinen. Wir können es kaum erwarten, bald wiederzukommen.
