Dont misguide by photos and comments. Only tour guides have uploaded the comments mostly. So dont let comments fool you people. If u want to experience smelly bathrooms, unsanitary cooking and uncleaned bedsheets and one of the worst hotels u can visit is this property. So fake unlike photos and everything. When asked for a refund there is no particular owner also. Such daylight robbers. So not worth the money. When we were there some foreigners also came and left by seeing the condition of the place. Definitely not a hotel.

I enjoyed a 2-night stay here, with a couple of friends, who paid for my accommodation, which was very clean and comfortable. The meals were delicious, the service was good, and wifi was available. The view from the dining room is beautiful. It was calming to hear the sound of water flowing, from the stream nearby. My friends spotted a deer, when we went for a walk in the surrounding woods. The full moon could be seen from the bathroom window. We visited Ella during the day. Since accommodation in Ella is very expensive, it was a good choice to stay at Romance Valley.

Beautiful property with superb ambiance.Spacious secluded rooms. Manager Dilushi was very friendly always with a smile to help you any time. Thoroughly enjoyed the two days & special thanks to the Chef who made our stay memorable. Access road to the property needs improvement

We booked 2 nights with Romance valley, and were a little apprehensive when we read the reviews on trip advisor, and we almost considered cancelling our booking, however we decided to bite the bullet and go anyway, and I AM SO GLAD we did, because Romance Valley is just a perfect slice of heaven, that you will be very sad to miss out on! All the rooms have STUNNING views of the mountains towards the south of Sri Lanka, a mist keeps coming in and going out almost like a painting on a canvas is being revealed, it’s truly spectacular. The rooms are huge, well furnished, with beautiful paintings. The beds are SO comfortable and the pillows are some of the softest I have seen in Sri Lanka. Mr. Kumudu was extremely helpful from the very start and made all our requests a possibility, we were even able to bring our dogs which was amazing. The staff are so lovely, there was no request that was too much for them. They were extremely attentive and even suggested places for us to get set up in the evenings. Romance valley is also an architectural marvel! It is just oozing with character and is a true dream for those with an eye for design. The food was great and so was the portion size, it is absolute value for money for what you pay. We will definitely come back to Romance Valley, and we thank Mr. Kumudu and his staff for making our stay so memorable!

The scenery is very tranquil and in the middle of nowhere but service was very poor, food not edible in most cases, not enough space to have everyone for dinner and room was dirty, would definitely not go back and would not recommend unfortunately. When problems of amenities missing in the room were reported, it took hours to have them sorted. Everyone staying was really disappointed.

We are four of us booked the Villa with private pool. It is amazing view . Super ambience in sunset . Food we have ordered some Indian and Sri Lankan dishes . Wonderful. It is recommended for couples. The place have many terraces and Kumar arrange food in the terrace .

~Heaven on earth ~ I can call this place as Heaven on earth. That much beautiful, everything was in detail.superb architectural designs.clean big rooms.good foods and clean bathrooms .friendly staff.they took care of us from the moment We arrived.and this hotel situated in amazing place, it was perfectly blended with wild nature. Greenwood,fresh air whispering breeze and panoramic views was Amazing.we loved that place we stayed two nights and 3 days there so we had wonderful experience.can recommend this hotel for any one without any doubts specially for the honeymoon couples.the name also hundred present matching for the hotel “ROMANCE VALLEY “ we hope to go back there and feel that relaxing breeze and mind blowing sun set .

The romance valley is the best hotel in haputhale. This hotel have a great view. One of the best view I had in a hotel. Prices are affordable. The view it has is priceless. Foods are delicious and you can ask for foods as your wish. Very peaceful place to relax your mind. They provide a very good service. If you are travelling Sri Lanka this is one of the best place you can visit. I have stayed 4 days and hope to come again. Don't miss this place. Don't judge the place by photos. Come and feel the nature.

It was cloudy day due to weather ,however place is up on the hill , vary cool climate , had few drinks and enjoy the view from the terrace , Tips Select room with terrace enjoy the drink Bit windy day we spent Nice infinity pool ,can't enjoy due to weather. Good food Good caring Clean bathroom

We stayed for 2nights.(17nos group- 5 rooms) Poor customer careering. No value for the money . Food wise provision are not ready to give the service as per customer request. Since our group was 17 people.staff was not sufficient to give the proper service. Room cleaning service not provided. As we had inform in advance our food request but Same menu was followed both days. Regular drop of electricity in the rooms. Generator was not monitoring properly. We had to inform regularly to start the generator. Untrained staff for hotel service. Poor handling of food service. Guest had to ask each and everything. Feels that they try to escape from serving to get the maximum profit by over budgeting.

The Villa is facing valley towards the down south of Sri Lanka . Super view . The room is big and have living and Dinning facility within the room , which we felt convenient since the days we stayed have rain in the evening. WIFI is not working since the heavy rain , that was downer for us , Clean room and Super fusion Food , Thank you Mr Pala who looks after us . will come again .

This year my birthday was an unforgettable day in my life because our lovely friend Denis Bate (to me, he is like my father), gave me, as my birthday present, 2 nights at Romance Valley ..Thank you so much for giving us this wonderful opportunity ..🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Romance Valley is an amazing place to visit. The Scenery seems to change with the movement of the sun all the time and the open air is refreshing with cool to chilly as caused by the weather changes. The suite was very comfortable and relaxing also the fabulous views from the room. A fantastic and amazing staff was (Premarathna, and Sampath) were very helpful and caring, also delicious food from Chef Ruwan. I, with my Husband, (Sanjeev Nishan Bastians) had a lovely birthday and weekend. Thank you for giving us these unforgettable memories and experiences. also, special thanks to Mr Kumudu Munasinghe, (Designer, Builder and Owner) of Romance Valley, and his Staff for giving us this wonderful time.

We stayed there in February in villa romance . View from the room was really nice . But our stay is not worth for money. Food was terrible , limited collection but that also not tasty at all and bathroom was damaged and poor water supply . Rooms were not cleaned well and WiFi was not working. Really not worth for money for the rate they charged from us. Management should should improve many things there .

great location , absolutely fantastic view, We had complete English breakfast which is rare in this part of world. magical setting of 3 Villas , hats off for the Architect who design it . We were bit worried about the road condition by looking at some reviews, now is fully concreted up to the Villa. Good Sri Lankan Lunch with wild boar curry .

The place is out of world with breath taking view open to the hills and valleys. We have stayed two nights with personal care by the staff. Limited menu but you will get what you want , ask or it they do to your choice , The villa has big pool open to Tea estate and unfortunately we won’t be able to used it since it was raining. It is a great location.
