Memories of my time at La Divine Comédie are tucked into my heart. I visit them there often. After a long journey with little sleep, I was eager to reach my destination. When I realized that my navigation system was routing me circuitously, I called for help and was rescued from the winding streets of Avingnon soon thereafter by Dorian, a true knight in shining armor! After Inferno came Paradiso. Once I arrived, I was taken to my room, the gorgeous Naples Suite, where a massage was waiting for me. The massage therapist was wonderful and magically made all the tension of a long journey fade away. I was left with senses renewed and ready to experience my beautiful surroundings. Being there felt like a living poem, one so well constructed that its parts become a seamless whole that then takes the soul on a transcendental journey. From the heavenly music to the enchanting candlelight to the soft blossom scent wafting through the air, La Divine Comédie is sumptuous and soul soothing. The gardens like the interior are a feast for the senses. Ascending the art adorned spiral staircase feels like being a part of a beautiful crescendo in a song that is singing you home. And the staff made a most memorable impression, especially Dorian, who is so authentically kind and caring and had genuine enthusiasm for sharing the interesting story of La Divine Comédie. He is that rare being who acts with a sincerity that comforts souls and touches hearts. What a wonderful way to spend my first night in France! My life can now be divided into two parts, BDC and ADC.
