I recently spent four days at Porto Sokhna in July, and my experience was very far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I had to carry my luggage to the primary office near the bus station, only to find out it was exclusively for property owners. As a timeshare guest, I had to walk even further to the designated office for timeshare guests. The check-in process was slow, and I waited a long time for my chalet, which was quite far from the main area. The staff, although presentable, seemed to prioritize other guests over timeshare visitors. The chalet had multiple issues, particularly with plumbing. The bus service was unreliable and extremely poorly ventilated. Room service was difficult to reach, and the chalet had a fly infestation. Housekeeping took several calls to provide insecticide, which was not very effective. During my stay, the receptionist suggested I purchase cleaning supplies from a nearby market and clean the chalet myself instead of requesting extensive cleaning services, which I found unusual and inconvenient. Basic amenities like salt, pepper, dishwashing detergent, and cleaning sponges were not provided. The bus driver was often unavailable and used the bus for personal trips, which was deeply unprofessional. The beach was difficult to access and quite far from the main area. The nearest beach was reserved for property owners, while timeshare guests were directed to a less desirable beach. This beach was overcrowded with laborers, and finding a chair under an umbrella was challenging. There were also persistent vendors selling overpriced sweets. Overall, the service was remarkably disappointing. The staff and other guests' behavior made me feel unwelcome. I do not recommend Porto Sokhna and advise potential guests, mainly from Europe or the USA, to consider other options.
