We decided to treat ourselves and stay in a five-star hotel for the New Year holidays. Rixos President Astana is real magic with attentive service and delicious, hearty breakfasts. We liked the spa complex with a large, clean pool. The only wish is that the Deluxe room lacked the ability to dry clothes.

The overall environment is average, not as good as the Hampton Inn in China. I have to praise the long breakfast time, which saves a lot of time for finding food. The room is narrow and the facilities are a bit shabby. The toiletries are only equipped with two toothbrushes (there is not even a mouthwash cup, which can be regarded as extremely shabby). I was given two room cards, one card cannot open the door and the other card cannot be used for the elevator. There is a certain probability that the door will not be locked after closing, so before leaving, I have to bend the door handle again to prevent the room from being unlocked. The most complaining thing is that we booked two rooms from Ctrip, but the two orders were all on the same room, and the other paid order disappeared. When coordinating with the front desk, they pretended to be stupid and said that Ctrip did not transfer the money. I really can't figure out whether it is the hotel overbooking or Ctrip's problem. The level of Ctrip's overseas response was really embarrassing. They were still bargaining for the price difference of the temporary room reservation. The result was that the two of us friends were stranded in a foreign country in the middle of the night with suitcases, and the hotel was only a mile away. We complained madly about the hotel and Ctrip, but the city of Astana is still very beautiful.

A cosy hotel right in the central axis of modern Astana. I loved the spacious room - was great to spend some time working on the convenient desk. Internet was fine as well. … and even during the nights below -33° like now the room was warm and cosy!

It's OK in all aspects. It's an average place to stay for a business trip. It's like all seasons. It takes 20-30 minutes to walk from the exhibition hall. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from Silk Road Mall, which is quite convenient. The price is cheap and the price-performance ratio is pretty good. Didn't eat breakfast, no comment.

The price/quality ratio is one of the best. Good location. The staff is a bit rude. Also, the air conditioners don't work, it's sooo hot to sleep. This makes you uncomfortable, you can't get enough sleep and your bed is wet. They don't clean until you ask. I called the reception to find out what's wrong with the air conditioner, they said the season is over and we've turned them off, we can advise you to open the window. The window doesn't blow anything at all, there's only more noise in the room

There is also an umbrella borrowed from the front desk when it rains. After showing the room card to the waiter, he said that the deposit for one umbrella is 10,000 tenge, and two umbrellas are 20,000 tenge. I really can't understand this operation. How much is the price of an umbrella? And it is understandable that the hotel charges a certain deposit for guests staying in the hotel, but the fee is a bit outrageous! Overall, I was not in a good mood after staying for four nights. This hotel does not have what a star hotel should have!
