"Hotel Saji- Sami in Mihintale was our first visit with the family. We booked a family room for four. The room was spacious, and has ample parking space, surrounded by trees with the cool breeze around you. Ideal place to be with your family to relax and have a quiet holiday out of the busy noisy city limits. It has a pool as well for you to just relax and swim around with the birds/ peacocks singing. From this hotel you could see the 'Mihintale" dagabas. The room was priced reasonable, you can request for a bottle of mineral water or for a cup of tea if needed. They have a restaurant, space for weddings, and space for other functions as well. From what the owner told me, they have been closed for some time, and they are back in business. They are on the way renovating the place, it will tak3 some time to be on full swing. But, you are still welcome to visit this place and enjoy the stay. "The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. I loved the bathroom space in my room. Dilki and the young staff take care of the guests very well. On our request, they arranged transport to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks for reasonable prices. We got a Village tour which was interesting and I recommend it to any of you. Their BBQ dinner also nice. Overall we had a great stay!"

"It is not on a popular tourist route, so there are not so many people, especially relatively few Chinese guests. The hotel is villa-style, with a sense of vacation, few people, quiet, and super large rooms. The staff are polite and very good in all aspects."

"The breakfast served every morning is so great. It was nice to have bananas, watermelon and eggs every morning. In terms of location, it's pretty good because you can take a safari tour, boat ride, and a cart that cows pull around. It was also very convenient because it was 1 minute away from the mart. The biggest advantage of this hostel is that the couple who manage the hostel are so friendly. In particular, Manusha always does his best at every moment to give guests convenience and kindly answer questions. I had to go to get on the boat once, but I kindly walked and took me on foot and came to me when I was over. It's so lovely that the young couple runs together. If I visit Sigiriya next time, I would definitely like to visit again. (The mart staff said that elephants pass in front of the mart every night, but I don't know if it's real)"

"I recently stayed this hotel and overall had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The breakfast was also a nice touch—fresh and with a good variety. However, the only downside was the Wi-Fi. It was either very slow or not working at all during most of my stay, which was a bit frustrating since I needed to do some work online. I mentioned it to the front desk, but unfortunately, the issue wasn’t resolved. If you don’t rely heavily on internet access during your stay, this place is a great choice. But for remote workers or those needing reliable connectivity, keep this in mind"

The only drawbacks were that there was no wifi in the rooms and that it was a little far from the city center, but other than that I was very satisfied. When I went there, there were almost no other guests and I had the place to myself, which was a relief."

He organised our half day safari & we enjoyed a fabulous meal the night before … such a variety of dishes, all home cooked … yummy The place was amazing … very new & in excellent condition. They were not fully booked & so we were offered an upgrade. His niece, Nikki?, accompanied us on the safari at no extra cost … her knowledge of birds & other wildlife really enhanced our experience. She willingly shared her photos with us, along with her excellent spotting ability. Thanks to everyone who contributed in some way to a memorable weekend"
