awful hotel. 4 stars??? not a chance. tired interiors - a delicate aroma of stale carpets and dirt. do not stay here. i stood at the front desk for 10minutes to ask receptionist about my room before she decided to end her personal call and ask what i wanted. Sums this place up.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was large and clean and had a little balcony with a nice view. The breakfast was very good and the staff was nice and so helpful. I was on a group tour which left from this hotel but booked an extra night in advance for a great rate. Excellent value for money and would stay there again.

Needs updating... i think the rug was over 20 years,. We were 2 people with 1 towel to dry off from showering... used a face cloth. The view was not particularly enchanting of roof tops. Front desk reception was efficient and helpful. Conveniently located across from train station.

Room 401 has a terrific view of the fountain in font of the railroad station. The hotel is very centrally located and is within easy walking distance of many major attractions. Staff was friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast buffet was extensive and served in an inviting room. We left the big double doors of our 4th floor room open to the square every night but if you want quiet, closing the doors eliminates the noise from below. We were very comfortable for a 4 night stay. I can't comment on the cost because it was part os an OAT tour. There are many hotels in this area but you will not be disappointed at this one. The only negatives were that many of the in-room safes did not work (locked) or did not lock. The step up to the bathtub was very high and difficult to navigate for older people.

Pretty miserable place. Since staying I have enjoyed reading the Owners rants about his wonderful hotel. My experience was a crusty hotel, lacking care from staff or care from the owner. Sometimes it is about money and here it is clearly lacking despite the Owners delusional defence. This place is definitely not 4 stars - I’m struggling to think 3, given I’ve just spent a night in the 3 * Anne d’Anjou in Saumur and that was excellent.

This is an older hotel and the rooms feel like it a little. However, this isn't a bad thing. The best part about the hotel is that it's in the middle of everything. A 5 minute walk from the train station, it's situated on a plaza with lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. It is an easy walk to the old part of town and the historic sites associated with Angers.

The hotel is on a busy street opposite the main railway station. The hotel website advertised air-conditioning to allow windows to be closed to allow a quiet and cool night but I was told by Arnaud the night manager you did not turn this on after the summer to conserve energy.

Booked this stop on a Loire Valley driving tour of 3 couples with luxury cars. Called before booking to check hotel had secure private parking, explaining the importance of this. They confirmed that it did. When we arrived, we discovered that the car park was too narrow for our cars and that spaces had to be reserved in advance, none of which had bred advised in the call. As a result, we had to cancel the booking and find an alternative hotel, which cost us the price of the three rooms. Extremely stressful and distressing situation

Nous avons passé une bonne nuit dans cet hôtel. L’accueil est très agréable, avec un réceptionniste souriant et attentionné. Les chambres sont d’une propreté impeccable, très calmes, et la literie est de grande qualité : nous avons extrêmement bien dormi. Le petit-déjeuner est un vrai point fort, avec des produits variés et de très bonne qualité, notamment des viennoiseries excellentes et du jus d’orange pressé. Un vrai service de qualité à la française . Autre atout : l’hôtel est situé juste à côté d’un tout nouveau restaurant Bouillon. Malheureusement, il était complet lors de notre passage, donc pensez à réserver à l’avance !
