HORRIBLE! SAVE YOURSELF FROM HASSLE. DO NOT BOOK IF YOU WANT COMFORT. Very arrogant hotel general manager. He gave us the worst quality room, comparable to a ₹500 room near the station. When we complained, he said, "Do whatever you want. You have not booked directly with us but through travel agents, so we can’t do anything." After many arguments and discussions with our agent, who also spoke to the manager, he promised to give us a Suite room the next day to compensate. However, nothing changed. We were given the same poor-quality room on the top floor with no lift, despite having two small children. We have never experienced such poor hospitality, arrogance, poor hygiene, and low-quality bathrooms and rooms in our entire life. Other issues: No water in the rooms until 12 PM, causing us to miss our planned activities. Continuous harassment by the general manager, making inappropriate comments whenever we passed by, such as, "Bridge has broken in Srinagar; do not come and blame us for that," among other instances. Fake promises of upgrades and compensation. Instead, we overheard the staff plotting to give us the same room and discussing why not to upgrade us. Poor hygiene in the restaurant, no seating space, and out-of-stock food at breakfast after just half an hour. While the staff was well-mannered, the general manager, hotel rooms, hygiene, poor infrastructure, and fake promises made our stay a nightmare. We stayed there for 2 days.
