This hotel is situated beside Vondelpark. Either through the park (fastest) or via side streets, the museums and Leidseplein are within a 5 to 10 min walk making the location very convenient. Our room had a king size bed (full king - not two twins pushed together) which was really comfortable. There were a couple of chairs and floor to ceiling window on one wall. The bathroom was adequate with a strong shower and no shortage of hot water. The room was clean and was refreshed daily. There are croissants, pastries and apples with coffee available in the morning. This review would have been a 5 star but for two things: There are no amenities offered (shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, etc) and the hair dryer didn't operate properly (it overheated and automatically shut down after 30 seconds, and required at least 5 minutes to reset). I would recommend the hotel and would stay here again (bring all your own toiletries and your own hairdryer).

Very good location. Nice room. Excellent free coffee/pastries/fruit and juice breakfast offered. Tea and coffee in room. Room very decent Doesn’t claim to be top ultra luxury hotel, but very good for its level.

Firstly, the location of this small hotel is brilliant. It is 5 minutes walk from Museumplein and about 200 metres from one of the entrances to Vondel Park. The No. 2 tram line (stop Cornelis Schuytstraat) is also a short walk away. The Reception staff are very friendly and could not be more welcoming or helpful. There is no "breakfast" as such, but machine coffee, juice, fruit and fresh croissants are available in the downstairs area and are free to guests. The rooms themselves are reasonable and fair for the price paid (Amsterdam is expensive!). Enjoyable stay!

I stayed in this lovely hotel on the night of 11 September. The counter staff Mr Bikram was extremely helpful and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to have early check in on 11 sept after long overnight flight from Toronto. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel was located at a quite corner beside Vondelpark. It is within walking distance to the museum quarter. There were lots of eateries nearby. The bus stop for airport shuttle bus was 5 minutes away. It is really convenient. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Amsterdam next time.

You won’t be disappointed staying at the Park View! Highly recommend! Staff were friendly and helpful Great location, quiet area. Good sized room, comfortable bed with en suite. Spotlessly clean. Coffee , tea available until midnight also croissants, doughnuts which we preferred to having coffee etc in the bedroom. Many Thanks! We will be back. Liz & Peter, Inverness

Good location and quite some potential is ruined by the sloppiest of management: good beds and clean bathrooms don’t make a hotel, if already the check-in gets it wrong, if the aircon doesn’t work, there is no phone in the room, if the breakfast (in a window-less basement) consists of a few tired croissants and a Nescafé machine, if the minibar is empty and you can’t even buy a bottle of water, let alone anything else, if the rooms at 15hrs are still not made, if you have a tea-making kettle but no tea, if your bathroom has no rack for the towels, etcetc. - and the bill is still over 250€ per night. What a rip-off !

Well situated hotel very close to Vondelpark and within walking distance of the town centre. This is a small hotel but it was very clean and tidy hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful offering advice on trams and places to eat. There are a number of good local eating places close to the hotel. We were booked on a room only basis but the hotel offers a simple complementary breakfast of coffee and croissants. This was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were a good size and well presented with everything we needed. Very happy with the hotel and we would stay 5here again.

Nous avions choisi cet Hotel pour ses photos et son emplacement près des musées! L’accueil et l’emplacement sont parfaits mais le reste est loin d’être acceptable! La salle de bain est plus que sommaire, sale et les serviettes n’ont pas été changées ( problème de blanchisserie parait il ) donc les serviettes du jour retrouvées jetées sur le sol par le personnel, la douche dévissée donc ne tenait pas et la bonde du lavabo cassée . Un petit déjeuner? dans une salle obscure en sous-sol, pas d’assiettes, des tasses en carton, les photos présentaient des céréales, des fruits, bref un petit déjeuner digne de ce nom. Le ménage des chambres succinct , juste le lit ( qui est la seule chose parfaite et confortable) mais les tasses mises à disposition dans la chambre pour prendre un thé sont restées sales après le passage du service du nettoyage. Le prix est cher pour le service. Résultat je ne recommande pas cette adresse à moins d’un changement dans sa gestion qui semble indispensable!

Nette kamers met lekker groot bed, comfortabele douche met keus uit gewoon of regen. Dichtbij vondelpark en vlakbij het leidseplein. Fijn om een weekendje te vertoeven. Waterkoker ook aanwezig op kamer. Beneden in kelder werd elke morgen croissant geserveerd met koffie, thee of jus o range.
