Mister Highland Hotel

I love the lovely colors and the love of all the sweet details in this Hotel. You can go everywhere by foot and it's easy to get there with the train and subway from the airport. The breakfast was a highlight as well. Everything matched. Thanks!

Perfect hotel for what we wanted. It was a short 10 minute walk from the train station so very easy to get to when you get off the train from the airport. The hotel had a lovely welcoming feel and the decor was quirky with a luxurious feel. We loved it. The bar downstairs was a lovely space for a cosy drink too. The room was very comfortable. Comfortable super king size bed. Very nice coffee machine with pods rather than the cheaper sachet type! The decor overall was superb. Great shower - very modern but with character. Breakfast was superb and I am so glad we included this in our booking. There was everything from continental style breakfast. Pastries. Cereal and yoghurt. Hot items - eggs, bacon etc. and fresh tea and coffee etc. We loved it! My only negative would be that I wish they had re filled the coffee pods each morning. I wouldn’t drop a score for this though. The hotel was ideally for walking about. No canal views but close to wherever we needed to get to.

Overall a nice basement room in an adequate hotel that is centrally located. A/C worked, fridge worked, TV worked. Shower leaks into the bathroom and the bathroom door doesn't close. Window opens to what I assume is the hotel's service entrance, so very noisy early in the morning.

First the positive points: - good central location with the metro right there - Mattress with topper was good - Design was interesting and some items like Gessi faucets in the shower were good choices and in the common areas some thoughts and money were invested - Our bedroom had the window on the court side so quiet Now for the negative points: - Bedroom floor was extremely dirty when we arrived (we asked to be cleaned and they did afterwards but not under the bed - do not look) - Water bottles were not replaced every day - Fake wood floors made out of poor quality carpet were terrible - Having the toilet inside the shower in our bedroom was weird - Shower door opening against the faucet - something will break at one point! - Dark colored toilet seat with many scratches - doesn't age well - Not comfortable bathroom sink with too little space to put toiletery - Overall quirky use of space and poor quality materials - do not expect a standard big chain hotel quality - Expensive for the quality - Service from front desk is average at best; always someone else working there (students?)

Located in central Amsterdam, close to metro station, very helpful staff, decent breakfast, comfortable bed. Room was compact as many central hotel rooms are and beautifully decorated. The only things that weren’t perfect was the sink design (very stylish but impossible to wash your face without hitting your head on the tap) and the bathroom wet room design- floor was flooded with shower water for a long time after my shower. Apart from that, it was a very comfortable stay- nice touch to have complimentary snacks and drinks in the minibar (non alcoholic)- thank you!

Excellent experience, great helpful staff. Easy to find close to multiple transportation options.It was nice and clean and very convenient location. Next to market and restaurants. Rooms were great clean and modern. I would recommend the hotel.

Lovely hotel an easy 10 minute walk from Central Station and close to the canals, shops and attractions of Amsterdam. The room was comfortable and a good size and the hotel breakfast was great. A perfect selection of hot dishes (pancakes, sausages, bacon, mushrooms and eggs) as well as bread and pastries, cereal, meat, cheese, juice and hot drinks. The only small complaint was the house keeping wasn't great. Our bed was left unmade on the first day and on both days the wet bath mat was left on the floor while they changes our towels that were neatly hung up next to the sign 'please hang your towels if you wish to reuse them'.

Perfect location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast. The room in the basement was perfect,m so I would not pay more for another room. It is located just 2 minutes from Dam Square so it is very convenient. Many restaurants around and you have toiletries, two bottles of mineral water and tea and coffee maker in the room. It is a wonderful hotel.

Stayed with two other couples Saturday to Monday and honestly couldn’t fault the place. Check in was a breeze, staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and comfortable and very stylish. Mini bar with some free inclusive items, bed comfortable albeit a little soft for my personal taste, bathroom was clean and the shower was amazing! Breakfast could be busy but very nice and a lot to choose from, staff again very nice and helpful. Location was perfect, easy to get to centre and all shops and bars, not far from the train station to airport either. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
