New, modern property close by the airport, stayed here to enjoy the serenity of the surrounding and escape the hectic "chowks" of amritsar. Beautifully appointed rooms and bathrooms with quality toiletries. Bedding was very comfortable. Service was excellent on all departments, food and breakfast was great

Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant. At breakfast don’t miss the compressed vegetable juices, freshly prepared from an array of colourful fruits and vegetables on display. The bedroom was spacious and beds comfy. Large shower cubicle, although unfortunately the drainage on our shower wasn’t effective and water ended up backing into the bathroom and even outside. Excellent Wi-Fi throughout the hotel

Our stay at Le meridian was nothing less than a cake walk , everything was well thought through and smooth . We are grateful for making our stay memorable . From breakfast till dinner , the food was sumptuous and the staff was so welcoming and warm .

This was one of the worst experiences I had while staying at Marriott as a lifetime elite member who has used Marriott as a choice brand for around 15 years. a) The first issue was that I was asked to pay the room charges of Rs. 16,500 while checking in. Usually, the credit card is just blocked, but in this case, the person at the reception said I needed to pay for the room upfront, even though my booking was not prepaid. That wasn't very respectful and never done by Marriott b) I paid for Club King with lounge access, but I could not use the lounge because it was not ready with drinks and food till 7 pm, even though the lounge timing was 6 to 8 pm. I was the only person in the entire lounge! The standard room rate was around 10K, and I paid 16.5K for a facility I could not use. The club and regular rooms are the same, so I spent 6.5K (nearly $80) additional for nothing!!! c) There was no turn-down service done on the evening and no extra towels or closet hangers were also sent despite calling d) Next morning, my wife noticed that the comforter had a stain on it, and she immediately called for the duty manager, but no one arrived e) I stayed another 2 nights in the same room as a wedding guest of my host. I paid for 1 night on my own, and my host paid for the remaining 2 nights f) Since it was the same room, I was stuck with the stained blanket even at night. Finally, I contacted Mr. Angad Singh Grewal, the hotel's front office manager. He came with me to my room and saw the stained blanket, lack of hangers, and broken tiles in the bathroom. He profusely apologized and said this was not expected of Marriott and he would get it fixed and compensate me for the problems. g) Mr. Singh said he could not waive the extra 6.5K charges for the lounge since my card was charged already, but he would ensure I get 15,000 points instead. After 2 months, I have not got these points in my account. Very insulted!
