Truly a 5 star hotel!!! Super impressed with the level of service received from all staff

I think this place is quite far from been a 5 star W service. The cleaning arrived around 6 pm and also we had a bad situation with the room cards (it stoped working on the 3rd night). On the other hand the room by itself was spectacular, big and bright. F&B service was good as well. To conclude - do not expect perfect work on reception but at least you can enjoy friendly restaurant staff.

Friends of ours had stayed at this hotel before and suggested we all went for a break in May 2024. When we arrived, the first thing we realised was nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were all attentive and friendly, engaging every time they saw you. The valet parking was extremely efficient. The room was very well appointed and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast offered a vast range of food, including an omelette chef who offered a good choice of ingredients to make the omelette to your taste. The pool area was very relaxing, with waiters and waitresses regularly checking whether we wanted any drink or food. Whilst the choice of restaurants and food was extensive, we did not eat lunch or diner here as there were so many independent restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel that we wanted to try. The overall experience was very chilling.

Hi, Me and my wife recently had the utmost pleasure of staying in the W Algarve for 2 nights - these 2 nights were incredibly special to us as we had just married on the day of the first night. I have stayed at some exceptional hotels around the world in my life, but I have to say that the W Algarve blew me away in terms of quality and consistency. You don’t have one single team member that let’s you down. They are all an absolute credit to your hotel, the business and the Marriott brand. Special thanks go to Karin for arranging our room, Diogo at reception for being an absolute star in every single respect and (can’t remember his name) but the Thai guy from Sweden who was on an exchange program from Switzerland who delivered our food every day. Keep doing what you're doing, it’s perfection and you need to know it. Thank you so much!

I’ve never actually written a review whilst I am still at the hotel but the W Algarve absolutely warranted it! From the contact from the Whatever, Whenever Team after booking to the early check in process everything was perfect. The trip was for a 45th birthday. Once I informed the WW Team they ensured the room was decorated with very special and personal touches. The room and hotel grounds were immaculate and the cleaning and turn down services were also excellent. On our first morning we informed the breakfast staff that we were vegan and they ensured that we were provided with vegan food by informing the chef. All of the staff were absolutely amazing but I have to shout out the stand out staff: Teddy, Fatima, Pedro, Junior and Deborah. They looked after us so well during our stay! All in all the W Algarve exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning.

The hotel was very modern. The room was very large and very comfortable. There was no solid wall between the living area and the bathroom - rather there was a large window - so you could see into the bathroom from the bedroom - though the shower area was separated with frosted glass as was the toilet area. I did not particularly like the aesthetics of the hotel - too modern / cool for my taste. There was a nice big swimming pool, but it was not heated and was too cold for me to go in. There was a nice bar/ restaurant area at the pool. The hotel is not on the beach.

I’ve never written a review whilst I am still at the hotel but the W Algarve is truly special I felt compelled to make it known. If you are thinking about booking it BOOK IT! After booking I received an e-mail from the Whatever, Whenever Team and I was able to explain the reason for the trip which was a 45th birthday. They were able to accommodate an earlier check in and ensure that the room would be decorated. On arrival we were greeted with a drink and checked in seamlessly. The staff are all polite and attentive and always check to make sure you are ok. Overall, while this is only day one I already know that it is going to be an amazing stay. The best hotel I have stayed at by far!

We had a fantastic stay at the end of April. Some days before our arrival I was in contact with Lilly and Iris from W Insiders Team. They inquired about what our family likes and from that point, I already had a good feeling about our upcoming stay. After check in, Lilly took us by buggy to our suite (upgrade thanks to being Bonvoy Titanium member) and all of the preferences/likes that I have mentioned in the pre-arrival e-mail were reflected in some way in our room. Yoga station for my wife, lots of balloons and Paw patrol references for our boys. Also the welcome amenity was super healthy - fresh fruits and delicious orange juice from local oranges. Everything was very appreciated and it was a great start into our 5 days at the resort. I guess W Hotel is not the typical family place, but we felt very welcomed here. There is very nice outdoor playground about 5 minutes walk from the rooms. Lilly was very kind to rent us some toys for our boys to use at the beach. Also one of the pools was heated, so we could enjoy some time in the water despite the air temperatures not being high yet. We really enjoyed our stay here and I think within the next 2 years we will be back.

Great rooms and friendly staff. But unfortunately we left disappointed. The Marriott + Tui Website do not state children cannot use the top pool or sunbeds. We were escorted to the lower area on day 2. Had we known this we would not have booked. Day 4 and other children were using the top pool. The manager advised when asked, our 7 year old could use the top pool supervised. Unfortunately by then he didn’t want to as he thought he’d done something wrong. The Websites have not been updated despite us suggesting they should be. A great hotel for adults. But if you have kids you cannot use the top pool or sun beds. Tui acknowledged we were to a degree miss-sold and paid a small refund. We intended to use the hotel more but paid for days out with bigger pools. Sadly Marriott offered nothing. We will not be using Marriott again. I hope this helps other families avoid the same disappointment.

If you are visiting Albufera, and get the chance to stay here, just book it. The Hotel facilities are top notch. Rooms are luxurious, and also modern. The Food and drinks selection is also excellent. But for me the most impressive part of my experience is the staff, without exception the staff were friendly, helpful, atentive and really cant do enough for thier guests.
