If you are a young adult looking for your first boozy holiday away or a stag and hen do - this place is probably perfect for you. If you are a young family, looking for a relaxing but fun place - do not book this hotel. Please don’t make the same mistake we did. We are a young family going on our first holiday together with our 18month old son. We had saved up and looked forward to this break all year and could not be more disappointed. The hotel was advertised as a family friendly resort, with close proximity to shops and a beach, with multiple facilities suitable for kids. It could not be more wrong. First impressions were that this hotel was certainly not 4 star as advertised. Perhaps several years ago, but the hotel needs serious upgrades to maintain that rating. Despite this, we checked in and unpacked our belongings into our first apartment. After eventually getting our son down to sleep, we wished to go onto the balcony for a relaxing drink, only to find groups of young adults blasting music out from balconies all around us. After some time, we realised they were not going to be stoping the noise, we went to reception and spent the remainder of our first night of our much awaited holiday, repacking our belongings and moving our son to another apartment block to room. Peace at last we thought… Once moved, we were so tired we went to bed. Except rather than a double bed, two single beds were pushed together on rickety wheels met us. The mattresses were incredibly uncomfortable which meant none of us slept through the night due to the discomfort. On the penultimate night, we decided to sleep on top of the sofa beds, with the sofa cushions on top of the mattresses to provide moderate comfort and slightly better sleep. In a four star hotel, no customer should opt to sleep on a sofa rather than a bed because it is that uncomfortable. Throughout the stay, due to our infant needing rest, we spent the evenings in the apartment, except, we were met with a wall of noise from boom boxes every night from the hotel itself…Disney night, pirate night..karaoke….all loud and all going on for several hours each night and inescapable for us confined to our apartment. The same occurred throughout the day when the boom box would be rolled out for pool activities - again no need for it to be so loud. Onto the pool - an activity we were looking forward to using with our son and sharing memories. We went down to the main pool only to find that children in nappies weren’t allowed in, we then went to the ‘kids’ pool to find it colder than the sea and completely inappropriate temperature for anyone let alone kids. It was so cold our son was distraught getting in and we subsequently couldn’t enjoy the one simple activity we wanted to on holiday. Whilst we were at the pool, early on in the day (before the hungover teenagers awoke) there was another young family wishing to play with an inflatable in the pool only to be told they would have to leave to the kids p
