À primeira vista, melhor do que esperava, no entanto, com o decorrer da estadia encontramos pontos negativos: o tempo de espera na recepção é de loucos, parece um serviço público português. Não é admissível que com tantos hóspedes haja apenas uma pessoa a atender de cada vez... O jacuzzi do hotel, que está incluído no preço, tem a água gelada e so fumcionam 2 saídas de ar. Logo, é quase impossível la estar. Bonito mas sem utilidade... No SPA que é pago, há tb aspetos a melhorar por isso mesmo, porque ao ser pago e dentro de um 4 estrelas, não pode ter portas a arrastar pelo chão, por exemplo, como tem no wc das mulheres. Tb existem portas de segurança que não abrem nas barras o que é muito estranho e mais estranho ainda é não haver equipamento de segurança na cozinha como extintor ou manta uma vez que tem fogão. No entanto, a remodelação foi bem conseguida e espero que estes aspectos sejam rapidamente melhorados porque queria regressar ao hotel.

Hotel and staff are nice, the breakfast is amazing (do a good full English) so would definitely recommend bed and breakfast! A couple of points to make: The hotel claims to have a tennis court. They do have one tennis court but it is not maintained, which was disappointing so if you’re going to play tennis, choose a different hotel. The charging point goes off in your room once you remove the keycard so make sure you pack a charging bank, otherwise, unless you plan on staying in the room your devices will be dead all holiday! Overall I enjoyed my stay here and would return to the hotel.

I was worried having read some of the more negative reviews of this hotel, but was pleasantly surprised when we got there. I’ll start with a few of the minor niggles first though. We arrived after an early morning flight at just after midday. We were told our room wasn’t ready and could see from the signs that check in was 4pm. I’d read about this already, so wasn’t too surprised. I was told that they’d try to get us in sooner and would phone me when the room was ready. We were given our all-inclusive wrist bands and told we could make full use of the facilities in the meantime. We never got a call and when my husband went to ask at 3.30 if the room was ready, he was given the keys. So that was a small frustration that we could have potentially had access to the room quicker to freshen up, but no harm done. Other reviews mention the size of the drinks. They are pretty tiny (200ml plastic cups) and you can only get two at a time per customer, but it’s not exactly a long walk to the bar, so this wasn’t that big a problem really. The cocktails are all pre-mixed from a dispenser, like you’d see soft drinks poured from, so I don’t think they were particularly strong, but tasty enough. There is only Superbock as the beer choice, but we enjoyed it. The biggest annoyance for us was, as mentioned in other reviews, the attitude from the bar staff. Not all of them, but a few were so incredibly surly to the point of rudeness. One man in particular refused to make eye contact with me or my husband, despite us being polite and smiley and trying to engage him. This is the biggest let down for the hotel and is the reason for my 4* review, rather than 5*. My husband’s theory was that they didn’t have to work for our custom as it was all-inclusive, and so didn’t have to win us over with their great service. This definitely wasn’t the case in other bars and restaurants we visited off-site, where the welcome was warm and friendly. I just felt like they had a genuine disdain for the people staying there and seemed resentful at having to serve us at all. I really feel the hotel needs to take on board the numerous comments about this and carry out some training with their team to help them understand how to give great service to their customers. The animation team were great though, and worked hard to keep guests entertained. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and I definitely didn’t see any of the concerns noted by other guests in their reviews. The room was really well equipped with a small kitchenette area, that we really didn’t need or use, aside from the kettle and the fridge for water. The bed was super comfy with gorgeous pillows. The curtains were lovely and thick and we had really great sleep every night as a result. The food in the main restaurant was absolutely amazing! Every dish was like a work of art. Just returned from our stay here. We found this place 3years ago and have returned every year for our holiday. This time we were self catering as there are so many nice resteraunts just a few minutes walk and an aldi 2 minutes up the road. This hotel Is superb. Exceptionally clean. Friendly and welcoming. We have stayed here in season and out of season and the standard is always consistent. Everything here is spot on. There is a fantastic resteraunt just 30seconds from the main entrance. Adega de carne, they do the best steaks we have ever had. The whole area is a fantastic holiday destination.we got the land train to the old town,it was 6 euros each for a day ticket. There were bars and restaurants serving pints from as little as 1.5 euros and cocktails from as little as 3.5 euros. Every place we ate at was amazing. Check out all my other trip advisor reviews for fantastic places to eat and drink. The weather was not the best this time but that's the luck of the draw in march,it did not spoil our stay and we will return next year if not again this year.cant recommend highly enough.

The overall experience was average. I mean, the hotel is good, has really good amenities, the bar and restaurant staff are great fun, some of the staff in reception aren’t that fun, but place is spotless, and there’s a great indoor and outdoor pool. Only issue we had were with entertainment. Neither entertainment, day or evening, was good. We traveled for Halloween, 4 adults and 5 kids. Kids were bored and so were we. You need people that entertains your guests not people entertaining their followers on TikTok.
