Berrodin Bed & Breakfast

I had a truly memorable stay here - this wonderful home is about as far as you can get from a bland stay at a chain hotel! Louie is a responsive and kind host. He even went the extra mile to return an item I had left behind. If you’re looking for a home away from home in Akron, look no further!

First things first: I loved my stay here. This Bed and Breakfast is so special; beautiful wood floors and beams, modern kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable and homey throughout. The home is located in a historical neighborhood with shaded, tree lined original brick paved streets, perfect for walking to the close by eating/drinking establishments. Inside, there is little to no street noise Everything is clean, clean, clean! Louie, the owner/host is the best. He works tirelessly to assure guest comfort and is a well spring of local knowledge and history. ,I stayed June 7, 8, and 9 in the "Blueprint" bedroom. While on the smaller side, the room had everything I needed (comfortable bed, TV, WiFi, large closet) and many thoughtful extras like chocolates, mints, and lots of local and area info on parks, trails, activities; etc. My initial misgivings regarding the "communal/shared" bathrooms were almost immediately put to rest, proving to be a non-issue for the entire stay. Did I mention everything is CLEAN? I came to Akron as a "one off" trip to attend the Ohio High School baseball state championships but will probably return in order to explore the surrounding area and will most definitely book and stay here again.

An extraordinarily clean, homey, cozy lodging on a beautiful brick street in a great location in the City of Akron. The place was spotless and appointed thoughtfully and thoroughly with every imaginable amenity and comfort. The front porch is especially fabulous! The price was very reasonable as well. It was a treat to stay here and it will be Plan A for any future trip to the Akron/NE Ohio area. Thank you Louie!

Had so much fun staying with Louie. He is very knowledgeable about my home country and about bike touring. The place is also amazing. Will definitely visit again someday. There is great Mediterranean restaurant nearby and in general Akron has so much history.

Louie is a superb host! The Gourmet coffee/tea bar is high tech and extraordinary!!! It is Amazing, and hands down the very BEST coffee/tea experience we’ve had in a B&B or Airbnb. You won’t find this service anywhere that you pay $2 on an honor system in any coffee shop (e.g. Starbucks or other specialty shop where they charge at least $6-$7). This B and B is immaculate in every way…spotless! We felt relaxed and at home. The residential neighborhood is peaceful and a safe environment. The beautiful front porch was perfect for resting our mind, body and soul. The Berrodin lifted our spiritual faith. Enjoyed the stay very much! Rooms were very clean, organized and anything we could possibly need was provided for us! Location was great, just a few miles from the University, where we were for most of the day before coming to the house. 100% would stay again!

This stay was just what I needed. I was hesitant on staying at a bed and breakfast because I wasn’t sure about having other guests there and I have never stayed in one. Well I booked one night and ended up staying a week. I didn’t even realize there were other guests staying most of the time. Everything was perfect, very clean, organized and exceeded my expectations. Louie considered any need a guest might have and his efforts show by the care he has for his guests. The house is in a great location in a quiet neighborhood in walking distance to any food or entertainment you might want. Plenty of parking and even an electric car charger. Louie is a good man who truly cares about his guests. I was blessed to stay here. I would definitely recommend staying here and to not pass up the opportunity if you have it. I look forward to staying here again.

My son and I stayed here after the football Hall of Fame induction ceremony & Zach Brown concert in Canton. Louie the owner allowed us to drop off our bags on the way to Canton and he is a kind & gracious host. His B&B is very clean and comfortable and close to I77, so we were only 20 minutes from Canton. His nightly rate is less than the hotels, and the next morning we had a short walk to grab a delicious breakfast at Wally Waffles in Highland Square, which is a cool historic neighborhood. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Stan Hywet or hike Ledges Trail.

The owner Louie was very friendly and accommodating. Also knowledgeable of the area and helpful. It was very clean and welcoming.
